Today sees the start of week. Bury Childrens services have been to Unsworth Academy and have completed fun quizzes, checked inhaler technique and talked all things asthma

Next week is the 8th annual week. Along with the school nursing team we will be doing some community engagement to raise awareness about childhood asthma .. 🫁 🫁

The 4 asks of the campaign are ….
1. Make sure your child has a personalised asthma action plan ( PAAP) 📝
2.Make sure your child knows how to use their inhaler correctly
3. Attend your child’s annual asthma review. This maybe more frequent if they have been struggling or are poorly controlled .
4. Consider indoor and outdoor air pollution and it’s impact …… 🚬 🚗

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please please please get your children vaccinated. Measles can cause serious complications. Cases are rising fast in England . If you are unsure whether your child has had 2 MMR vaccinations contact your GP for advice . 😷😷 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️ 💉💉🦠🦠

The team have been busy the past few weeks visiting babies 👶🏼 with Bronchiolitis at home 🏡 ensuring that are supported and managed safely .
Bronchiolitis is a viral chest infection which is very common in under 2s from October to March .
