🦠 Coronavirus/Covid-19 Update 1🦠

The Government have now stated that Podiatry and Chiropody clinics may remain open. The guidance states that exceptions to the closure of businesses and premises are:

Medical services (such as dental surgeries, opticians and audiology clinics, physiotherapy clinics, chiropody and podiatry clinics, and other professional vocational medical services).

Whilst our clinic can re-open, we can only treat those who have a high risk or urgent podiatric need. This complied with advice from the College of Podiatry.

We have a duty to reduce the spread of the virus, to reduce the impact on the NHS & to keep you mobile.

If you develop an emergency foot problem that causes pain or discomfort please call the clinic on

01749 372404

If we do not answer please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. We will screen/triage all requests for appointments.

For your safety and wellbeing please see the following:

* Our waiting area has been adapted to allow for social distancing

* We have extended time slots to reduce social contact when waiting & to allow for cleaning of the clinic between appointments

* We encourage everyone to wash their hands upon entering and leaving the premises

YOU MUST NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS OR HAVE COME INTO CONTACT WITH ANYONE WITH SYMPTOMS. Please phone NHS 111 and they will refer you to the correct department.

Please check back regularly as our working practices are adapted daily in response to government information issued - information & guidance changes frequently!

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Podiatrists see feet of all sizes and ages. Sometimes children can suffer heel pain. Heel pain in children can be more serious than in the usual heel pain felt by some adults, so it’s important not to ignore it & get treatment from a specialist - a Podiatrist.

Our Story

Foot Faerie, Sue Boothroyd, graduated from The London Foot Hospital (part of University College Hospital) in 1983 and has worked her magic on feet, in both NHS and private clinics. Patients quickly discover that Sue’s treatments are not only effective, but that she is also very gentle; someone in south London was so delighted with Sue’s ‘painless’ treatment of her feet that she christened her ‘Foot Faerie’... & the name stuck.

Sue is passionate about helping people to stay mobile. She enjoys all aspects of podiatry, providing treatments from corn and callus removal and fungal nail treatments ... to nail surgery and verruca needling.

She always aims to improve her patients’ foot issues, with many patients being discharged after successful podiatric treatment. You can find Foot Faerie Podiatry Practice at Rookery Farm (near Wells, Shepton Mallet & Radstock).

Sue is an Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Podiatrist/Chiropodist (CH08500) and, as such, is a regulated professional with a clinic dedicated to solely (no pun intended) treat conditions of the foot and leg - A True Foot Specialist.
