Expecting and wondering how private care can fit with NHS maternity services? Let’s break it down 🌳
At Oak Tree Obstetrics we’re all about personalised, consultant-led support through your pregnancy while your NHS maternity team looks after your core clinical care.
🤱 The Full Journey Package offers continuity of care with regular, longer antenatal appointments throughout your pregnancy — including personalised consultations at key gestations (12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 38-40 weeks), reassurance scans and a dedicated postnatal review. You’ll also receive email advice from your Consultant Obstetrician throughout (with replies within 72 hours) and supportive guidance tailored to your needs.
👶 Here’s how this sits alongside NHS care:
• Your NHS Trust remains your lead maternity provider — including screening, primary midwife care and all acute/emergency assessments.
• You’ll be booked with your local NHS team and have a community midwife assigned, ensuring your care is joined up. Shared information helps keep both teams aligned.
• Oak Tree Obstetrics doesn’t replace NHS statutory services (e.g. hospital blood tests, emergency care or labour/birth).
Think of The Full Journey as enhanced, personalised support — consultant expertise that empowers you to make informed choices.
If you want continuity, time with your clinician, holistic discussions and extra reassurance on your terms — this could be the right blend for you.
