Help shape the future of defibrillator access in the UK ❤️

We’re running an important survey to understand people’s views on defibrillators. Whether you’ve seen one or never thought about them before.

It takes just 10 minutes, and your feedback will help us make these lifesaving devices more widely available across the UK.

🚨 Did You Know? 🚨
Contrary to popular belief, defibrillator cabinets do not power or recharge the defibrillator inside! They’re designed to protect the device, not supply it with energy.
Defibrillators rely on lithium batteries that need replacing every few years to stay rescue-ready🪫💓
🔋 Cabinet Power Explained: The cabinet’s power supply is there to heat the cabinet, keeping your defibrillator safe and functioning in cold conditions.
Make sure your community is informed about these life-saving details – every second counts! ⏱️

A runner suffered a cardiac arrest during the Cardiff Half Marathon — and thanks to the quick actions of people nearby, including emergency services, their life was saved.

It’s moments like this that remind us how vital CPR and defibrillator skills are. Across Wales, Save a Life Cymru is working to make sure more people are ready to step in when it counts. 💙

Their mission is simple:
💪 Get Wales CPR-ready
⚡ Make defibrillators easier to find and use
📱 Grow the GoodSAM community of responders

Wales now has 8,500+ public defibrillators and hundreds more on the way — but knowing how to use them can make all the difference.

This , take 15 minutes to learn CPR. It could save a life. 💙

⚡ What to Do if a Defibrillator Says ‘No Shock Advised’? ⚡
If a defibrillator states "no shock advised," it doesn’t mean the person is out of danger. It means their heart rhythm doesn’t need a shock, but CPR is still critical! 💪
🛑 Here’s what you should do next:
1️⃣ Continue CPR to keep the blood flowing.
2️⃣ Look for signs of life like breathing or movement.
3️⃣ Follow the defibrillator's voice prompts—they will guide you through the process.
Every second counts in a cardiac arrest. Even if the defibrillator says no shock is needed, your actions can still save a life!
