Meet the gentleman Albert Thomas who comes to my Thursday night group

This was me. Nearly 20 stone and heading for a heart attack.
It is thanks to Slimming World for showing me that I can eat well and lose weight.

I started SW when I lived in Bedford and immediately saw results. Ok, sometimes life gets in the way and I have been known to put on some weight but I always know that I can go back to my SW friends, no shame and no judgement, and find my way back.

I still have a dodgy knee and a bad hip and as well as following the plan I do the exercise I can cope with and that is cycling.

Recently I've lost 3 stone and hit my target and
I thank Nick for helping prepare me for an epic cycle ride, for in 2 weeks, at the age of 67, I will be cycling nearly 500 miles in 10 days across Vietnam and up into Cambodia.

No ebike just slogging away on a mountain bike.
