Monday morning warm up! ❄️🥶

27/01/2026

As we get older, an exercise class needs to be so much more than just exercise…
It should lift our mood, build friendships, make us laugh, and help us move our bodies in ways that genuinely make us feel better.

That’s exactly what you can expect from my Move It or Lose It class 💛

✨ My Marvellous Monday class 🎉
▪️ A friendly, chatty welcome as you arrive
▪️ A seated chair warm-up for the arms 🥁
▪️ Some serious (but doable!) strength and balance work 💪
▪️ Finished with a fun, feel-good cool-down

Come along for the movement, stay for the friendships — and always enjoy a warm welcome 🤗

This weekend has been all about learning and updating my knowledge ✨

As a Mioli instructor, I’m required to complete at least one CPD (continued professional development) every year – and I genuinely love doing it. It means I can keep offering classes that are safe, informed, and truly supportive for real bodies.

💚Saturday’s course focused on arthritis – understanding it better, how it affects movement, and how gentle, appropriate exercise can really help.
💚Sunday has been Pelvic Floor exercise revision.

So when you come to me for a class or a treatment, you can feel confident knowing you’re in safe, knowledgeable hands 🤍

Movement with me is always about care, confidence, and doing what feels right for your body.

I’ve never known so many of my class members to be unwell so I thought I’d share -
💛 Cold & Cough Support that I’ve learned over the years 💛

So many of you are dealing with that lingering cough/cold that just won’t shift at the moment.

*I’m not a medical practitioner*, but after years working in health & wellness (and listening to my own body), I’ve picked up a few supportive things that often help me & my family do what our body does best – heal itself.

• Reduce sugar, processed foods (think man made chemicals and additives!) plus ‘white’ foods
White bread, pasta, sugary snacks - all kinds of these can feed inflammation and slow recovery.

• Hydration matters more than we think
Drink LOTS of plain water.
Squash and hot cold drinks may feel soothing, but many contain artificial sweeteners and additives (yes, even the popular ones).

• Dairy can increase congestion for some people
Especially when you already have a cough or cold.
Try reducing milk, cheese or yoghurt for a few days and notice how your body responds.

• Good-quality vitamin C
Personally, I rely on vitamin C rather than over-the-counter remedies.
I increase my intake when I feel something coming on and continue for the duration — always listening to my body and easing back if it doesn’t feel right.
Again - check what you buy, the fizzy dissolvable tablets often have artificial sweetners 😱

• Gentle movement supports your lymph system
Nothing intense — walking, stretching, mobility, deep breathing.
Your lymph system relies on movement to help clear things out.

• Rest
Healing doesn’t happen when we’re constantly pushing through.

• Fresh air & daylight
Even a short wander outside in the garden can help more than we realise.

Your body isn’t broken — it may just need support and fewer obstacles 💛

Big hugs to all you snotty folk 🤗

Sprinkle turmeric or ginger in meals where you can… it’s these tiny daily choices that reduce inflammation and support joint health 👍

Last night’s class really lived up to this 💙
A perfect blend of soothing stretch and quiet strength – exactly what everyone needed to calm away the crazy.

January always feels a little crazy to me… getting back into routine while trying not to overwhelm myself with all the new fads and regimes we’re constantly tempted with 🫣

Instead, I’m holding fast to simple wellbeing additions – the kind that help me feel good without pressure, punishment, or perfection.

So proud of our lovely little group… improvements already showing after just one week ✨

If you’re craving movement that feels calming and strengthening, you’d be so welcome to join us 🤍

Hope to see some of you tonight!
7pm Rayleigh Sports & Social Club.
Work to your own ability, listen to your body & if still recovering from illness - some gentle movement is good, come in your comfy clothes, no need to dress up on my behalf 😂
See you later xx

This week I had my very first training session for The Pelvic Floor CPD with the rest of the team at Spinal & Natural Healthcare Centre in Benfleet, taught by Louise at Adore Your Pelvic Floor ✨

It was such a brilliant afternoon — lots of learning, great conversations, and really getting hands-on by putting the theory into practice.

What I loved most was discovering (and confirming!) that so much of what we already do in my classes — breath, posture, biomechanics, and functional movement — naturally supports, strengthens and lengthens the pelvic floor. It’s always reassuring when good movement just makes sense.

I can’t wait to share more about this and spend more time learning alongside the fantastic, friendly Spinal & Natural team — and continuing to deepen my knowledge through this pelvic floor journey. Exciting things ahead 💛

Are you feeling sluggish this morning?
Body stiff or achy? Low energy and struggling to get going?

If so, come and join Action Stations Circuit this morning.
10.15am start - St Michaels Church, SS6 9JB plenty of parking in the road or a small carpark.
Work on your strength at your own pace, enjoy a chat as you go, and have a bit of fun with the indoor kurling rest station.

You’ll feel better afterwards — and it’s only £3 💛

Aimed at 55+ All abilities welcome. You just need to be able to move between stations and follow instructions independently. I’m always on hand to support you.

Today I’m beginning something new 🌱

I’m joining the team at Spinal & Natural Healthcare and starting my training as a Pelvic Floor Coach.

Winter has always felt like a season for learning, reflection, and planting seeds — so that when spring arrives, things can grow!

I want to gently reassure you — my massage work and movement classes aren’t going anywhere. They remain at the heart of what I do.

I’ve been drawn to pelvic floor health for a long time. I see so many wonderful women quietly living with discomfort, disconnection, or changes in their bodies — often feeling unsupported, unheard, or simply told “that’s just how it is”.

This training feels like a way to deepen my understanding, so I can support women more fully, more naturally, and more compassionately.

As always thank you for being here 🤍

Spotted loads of fitness clothing in Sainsbury’s today 👀
And while it’s lovely to treat yourself, I just want to say this…

You don’t need shiny new leggings, matching sets, fancy kit or to have everything perfectly “sorted” before you start moving.

My classes aren’t like that.
No mirrors. No judgement. No pressure to look a certain way.

Just come as you are 💛
Wear whatever is comfy and lets you move.
Then we gently get you moving towards feeling less stiff, less achy and more like you again.

Along the way you’ll find new friends, plenty of laughs, and a space where you’re genuinely welcomed and noticed.

Movement doesn’t have to be intimidating.
It just has to feel doable.

A shopping trip with a friend looking for a new CC cream turned into a bit of a nightmare 🙈
After trawling the beauty kiosks and having expensive creams slapped on that were totally wrong for menopausal skin, I said:

“Honestly, I use my Tropic Skincare CC cream — it’s silky smooth, feels gorgeous on, and actually hydrates your skin while you wear it… instead of drying it out.”

All natural.
No nasty chemicals.
Kind to skin that’s changing (because let’s be real — it is).

So she tried it…

I’m not one for the hard sell, but I am one for shouting about something I truly believe in.

Wellness - what is it?

The World Health Organisation say “Wellness is a state of complete physical, mental & social wellbeing & not merely the absence of disease and infirmity”

Be it muscular aches and pains, stiffness and lack of mobility, back ache, tension, stress, anxiety, menopause and related illnesses or social isolation due to these illnesses or circumstance, I provide a range of service that may help.

Using a variety of methods such as:

Therapeutic massage techniques- relaxation, sports, deep tissue and hot stones.
