🌟 Training at the Heart of What We Do 🌟

At Kinect Services, training plays a vital role in how we support both our teams and the communities we work with.

We’re proud to have a dedicated in‑house training department and to be CPD accredited, allowing us to deliver recognised learning that supports ongoing development. Alongside our core training, we also offer specialist sessions designed to build confidence, skills and understanding within our care teams.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there, we also provide training to members of the public and local organisations, including Dementia Awareness Training, helping to build knowledge and confidence within the wider community.

For us, training isn’t a one‑off event. It’s an ongoing commitment to quality, responsibility and the high standards we aim to uphold across our organisation.

❤️ February is National Heart Month! ❤️

This month is all about raising awareness of heart health and supporting those living with heart and circulatory conditions.
Many of the people we care for especially older adults live with conditions that can affect their daily wellbeing. Our teams continue to provide consistent, person‑centred care that recognises and responds to each individual’s needs.

National Heart Month is also a great reminder to look after your own heart health. Small steps make a big difference:
- Take time to rest
- Stay hydrated
- Try to manage stress
- Seek advice if something doesn’t feel right

The British Heart Foundation offers trusted information and support for individuals, families and carers. Your heart matters let’s look after it together.

Love comes in many forms.

Today is a chance to recognise love in all the ways it shows up in everyday life. Love for family and friends, for colleagues and communities, for pets, passions, music, creativity and the routines that bring meaning and comfort.

In our work, we often see love expressed quietly and consistently. It shows up in small gestures, in patience and reassurance, in people taking extra care to get something right. It is there in the journeys that are made safely, the support that is delivered with dignity, and the effort teams put into making sure others feel seen, respected and valued.

Across care, transport and training, this commitment is part of what underpins the work we do every day. It is not about grand gestures, but about reliability, kindness and doing the right thing even when no one is watching.

On Valentine’s Day, we want to take a moment to acknowledge that kind of love, the kind that sits at the heart of meaningful work and strong communities.

💻🌐 Supporting Safer Internet Day 2026

We’re proud to be supporting Safer Internet Day and to have formally registered our commitment to promoting online safety.

Being online can bring real benefits, especially for older people — helping them stay connected, informed and independent. At the same time, we know there can be risks such as scams, misinformation and online harm, which can impact confidence and wellbeing.

Across our services, we support safer internet use by:
✔️ Encouraging open conversations
✔️ Helping people feel comfortable asking questions
✔️ Signposting to trusted information when needed

This is all part of our wider approach to safeguarding and supporting informed choices.

💙 Why more families are choosing Live-In Care 💙

When it comes to care, familiarity matters.

With live-in care, your loved one can:

-Stay in the comfort of their own home

-Receive dedicated one-to-one care

-Keep their daily routines, meals and bedtime

-Build a meaningful relationship with one consistent carer

-Stay connected to family, friends and their community

-Unlike residential care, live-in care adapts around the person, not the other way around.

Because great care doesn’t mean leaving home.
It means bringing the care home. ✨

Call us to find out if live-in care is right for your family.

🍼 Lifesaving Skills in Action 💙

At Kinect Services, our training goes beyond requirements, it's about empowering real action in real emergencies.

Here’s Cheryl, our incredible internal trainer, demonstrating infant CPR—a vital skill for our ANYONE!

Recently, one of our Passenger Assistants, shared how this training helped them save their 4-month-old granddaughter's life. When the baby suddenly stopped breathing, they calmly performed CPR, just as they’d learned from Cheryl, until paramedics arrived. Doctors said their swift actions saved the baby’s life. 💓

We're incredibly proud of Cheryl and thankful that our Passenger Assistant was prepared when it mattered most!

✅ Key Things to Remember When Performing CPR on an Infant (Under 1 Year Old):
• Check for responsiveness
• Call for help- 999 or 111 or 112
• Open the airway
• Check for breathing
• Give 5 gentle rescue breaths
• Start chest compressions- 2 fingers
• Continue CPR (30 compressions : 2 rescue breaths)
• Don’t shake the baby or wait for help without starting CPR—immediate action is vital.

Remember—any action is better than nothing!
You never know when your training could become the difference between life and death.
