On the 1st Oct the Cancer Rehab Team held our biggest Wellbeing Day yet for our patients. Thank you to all the patients who came and to the speakers and stall holders. A thoroughly enjoyable day. Watch this space for the next date….

Today we held our first Men’s Wellbeing Day. We had guest speakers from My Cancer My Choices, NHS Berkshire Talking Therapies, Matt our sleep specialists, Mark Foulkes and Richard, a retired oncologist and yoga specialist. We ended with an exercise session by Alfie. Clare from Berkshire Body and Mind gave free massages, Reading Mens Shed told us all about their charity and Hilton from Macmillan Cancer Support was there to offer additional support. Thank you Wokingham Waterside Centre for hosting us. It was a fabulous day.

The Cancer Rehab Team held a patient Wellbeing Day on Tuesday 7th May at the Wokingham Waterside Nature Reserve. We had talks from My Cancer My Choices, our Psychology Service, Sleep expert, Dietetics and Rehab Exercise Specialist as well as the patients enjoying a Mindfulness Meditation session and the chance to have a massage by Clare from Berkshire Body and Mind. Everyone enjoyed the day and we were lucky with the beautiful weather in the perfect venue.
