๐Ÿ‘€ From the Thames Valley and Wessex Paediatric Diabetes Network Parents Facebook group:
* Upcoming Focus Group * Monday 25 October 7.30pm-8pm
In our roles as parent reps for the National Children and Young People with Diabetes Network (NCYPDN), we have been asked to organise a focus group for our region to gather peopleโ€™s views and knowledge of both the network and the PREM (Patient/parent Reported Experience Measures) questionnaire from the NPDA (National Paediatric Diabetes Audit)

The questions we would like you to consider are:
1. What do you know about PREMS?
2. Have you been asked to complete PREMS?
3. Have you heard of the Children and Young People's Diabetes Network?
4. What does engagement within (involvement/taking part in) the National and Regional Network look like for you?
5. What do you expect from the Network, both nationally and regionally? (Regional Networks cover the hospital you attend)
6. What is the best way to get parents' and patients' representation?
The focus group meeting will take place on Monday 25th October at 7:30pm via Zoom for 30 minutes.
The responses will be used to develop a better understanding of parentsโ€™ and young peopleโ€™s engagement with the network and PREMs questionnaire, in order to further increase engagement and understanding of the network and the work it does.
If you are unable to attend the Zoom meeting but would like to provide feedback on these questions, please comment below.

A parent was asking me about sources of fibre just today in clinic.
As well as keeping your insides healthy by keeping you regular, fibre can help
โœ”๏ธ keep glucose levels stable
โœ”๏ธ raise levels of good bacteria in the tummy which helps the immune system
โœ”๏ธ keep the heart healthy by lowering cholesterol levels and blood pressure
