Medical Secretary vacancy,

Due to relocation, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join the friendly and supportive team at Sonning Common Health Centre.

This is a part-time position of 20–25 hours per week, offering an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a busy primary care setting.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and responsive to the demands of a varied workload. You will be required to manage time-sensitive tasks throughout the day, prioritising effectively to ensure the smooth running of clinical and administrative processes.

You will be joining a collaborative and welcoming team that values initiative, accuracy and a positive, professional approach. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential.

As you will have seen in the media, flu is particularly nasty this year. If you are eligible for a free vaccination, we do still have some left, so you can phone the surgery and book an appointment.
If you are not eligible for a free vaccine, local pharmacies are booking vaccination appointments for a relatively small cost. It is definitely worth considering this if you have friends or relatives who are elderly, undergoing treatment for cancer or have lifelong conditions such as diabetes.

NHS England says it's facing a "worst-case scenario" after flu hospital cases jump 55% in a week.

Part time Medical Receptionist vacancy
We are recruiting for a part time Medical Receptionists to join our Sonning Common Health Centre team.
The vacancy is for 15-20 hours per week. The role requires you to work a combination of morning and afternoon shifts along with working a Friday afternoon shift. You will also be required to work ad hoc cover shifts to cover sickness within the reception team.
We seek an individual who enjoys working in a busy environment, who can multitask and remain calm under pressure. Flexibility is essential due to you being required to provide cover for other staff within the team. Previous receptionist experience is desirable and experience of working for the NHS or working in a GP practice is also desirable. Thorough on the job training is provided.

Part time dispenser vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our GP practice team as a Dispenser.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dispensary team, supported by the Dispensary Manager and Practice Pharmacists. You will be ensuring the safe, timely and accurate prescribing and supply of medication, from the practice dispensary. The semi-rural practice serving just under 10,000 patients is well respected in the community.

We seek an individual who enjoys working in a busy environment, who can multitask and has an eye for detail. We require excellent communication skills given the expected patient contact and multiple specialised systems need a degree of IT literacy.

Previous experience working as a NVQ qualified dispenser is necessary, and thorough on the job training is provided to help any transition into primary care.

You will be required to work for 27.5 hours per week with a mixture of morning, afternoon and full day shifts with one midweek day off.
