About to start my retreat here, for the first time stepping into the role of the main teacher at this place that holds a special place in my heart — the very place where I experienced some of my deepest meditations. Deep gratitude to the founder, Anthony Markwell, for offering it to me, for his trust, and to all the teachers who have carried this profound tradition for 2,5 thousand years and beyond.

Sadhama’s first International Vipassana is just two days away, still enough time for you to land here if you’re flying from the UK.
The next opportunity will already be at our home in the UK at the end of May and beginning of June. That one is filling fast, the last spots quietly slipping away.
Our second Silent Retreat in the UK arrives at the end of August and beginning of September. Plan ahead while accommodation choices are wide open, before they vanish into the summer rush.

✨ This retreat was the most successful Vipassana we’ve held here yet!

This was an incredible group that came together to train and develop the wholesome states of mind that are enlightenment factors: mindfulness, energy, investigation of dharma, joy, tranquility, confidence and faith, wisdom, concentration, obsorbtion or collectedness (Samadhi) and equanimity. This are qualities of our mind that, when developed and cultivated lead to awakening. Vipassana is a meditation technique that ripen them.
In this way, vipassanā is like the soil and water—it nurtures the seeds of the enlightenment factors until they bloom naturally.

Our team was extraordinary — some traveled Europe to assist. With more than a decade of experience supporting Vipassana retreats in Thailand, they helped us perfect our third retreat at Hardwick Estate. We know how complex the journey is, and we supported participants not just with meditation guidance, but also with bodywork, therapy for aches and pains, and even our riverside sauna where people could warm their bones in the evening.

The weather was kind, the determination of the group was inspiring, and through the challenges of the seven-day retreat, everyone came out blissful, encouraged, and deeply transformed. Quite a few tasted the uplifting happiness that arrises from practice and clarity. Many have already signed up for next year.

We’re excited to announce two upcoming Vipassana retreats at Hardwick Estate — May and September 2026. Spots fill quickly (last year’s were fully booked by Christmas!), so make sure to secure your space early.

We’ve been loving our community Monthly Wellbeing Club "Reset & Restore" at Hardwick House just as much as our guests.

It’s a beautiful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and welcome new ones—many joining from my local regular 6:35 am morning Hatha Yoga class.

Each month, we dive deep into a fresh theme—from grounding yoga to meditation or a sound bath—giving space for reflection, connection, and renewal.

Loving the informal chats in the sauna and heading out for a wild swim together. Simple moments, but when combined, these shared experiences create a complete reset.

And then… always a delightful surprise from Karen’s kitchen, crowning the day with wholesome fine dining—a true treat! I must admit, it’s a challenge to keep my yogic equanimity when those dessert plates appear 😋.

What a gentle and joyous Natural Flow༄ this year!
Thank you all so much for coming, sharing, and opening your hearts to the joyful and revolutionary work we were all doing, over the days we spent connected in community together.

We are so blessed with an incredible team that keeps coming back to lay the foundation of the retreat: friendship, generosity, and creativity!

Facilitators and musicians gave their hearts, souls, and mind-blowing talents to make Natural Flow༄ so special!

gentleness and gorgeousness were so touching during the ceremonies—and the surprise performance on the floating stage decorated with yew tree roots was an epic finale to an incredible Saturday.

India Blue —mystical morning yoga and sublime harp—brought so much wholesome bliss.
lloyd.music blew everyone away with a powerful voice that traveled far along the river!

With , we all traveled to other cosmic dimensions during the gong bath and Yin Yoga.

Absolute powerhouse duo Lewis and Chantelle—that is .music— kept vibes high, accompanied yoga sessions with their delightful live music, and held us through ceremonies.

Our Dhamma brother David led Loving-Kindness (Metta) Meditation to open our hearts.
