Here’s a simple guide on how to complete a TruAbutment ioConnect All-on-X case with your TRIOS.

1️⃣ Start by selecting a bridge with 4+ implants in the order form. Mark teeth where implants are needed and mark remaining teeth with pontics. Choose the TruAbutment ioConnect workflow for a dedicated protocol.

2️⃣ Scan your patient’s lower provisional and ensure to scan enough gingiva for easy trimming of the temporary solution. Scan the antagonist following the usual scan strategy and capture the buccal bite with the temporary restoration in place.

3️⃣ When you reach the HS cap scan step, the trim tool opens automatically. Trim away the provisional from your existing scan, place the HS caps and scan the entire surface plus surrounding soft tissue.

4️⃣ Insert the ioConnect flags and scan each one. Capture the full hexagon shape of each scan body. The software removes soft tissue automatically for clean results.

Once post-processing is completed, send the case to your lab.

You’re done!

A new update is available in TRIOS software. The 25.3 update brings you a new scan quality overlay that shows exactly where you need more data.

The overlay highlights areas in real-time as you work. You’ll instantly see which parts need attention, so you know exactly where to scan more and watch the overlay fade as you capture what’s needed.

It’s on by default across all scanning workflows. Toggle it off and on in the side panel.

You get clear visual feedback, so you can finish with confidence the first time and achieve great scan results more intuitively and efficiently than ever before.
