Physiocare is an established physiotherapy & sports injuries practice which combines clinical excellence with a caring approach. Since we opened back in 1992 in Twyford, we have extended our range of treatments and services to include Ultrasound scan, Ultrasound guided Steroid & Ostenil (Hyaluronic acid) injections, acupuncture, pilates, post natal body recovery courses, gym membership, advanced gait analysis and specialized bike fits. Steroids/Cortisone and Ostenil Plus injections are used to treat knee, hip, ankle, toe, shoulder, elbow, hand arthritis, trigger finger/ thumb, carpal tunnel, tennis & golfer’s elbow, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, heel pain, Morton’s neuroma and bursitis. We have treated thousands of patients with musculoskeletal problems such as sports injuries, postural problems, neck and back complaints and post-operative rehabilitation, and we continue to do so today. In keeping with our total body approach, we have also treated a range of other conditions perhaps not traditionally associated with physiotherapy, such as vertigo, dizziness and stress incontinence. We believe firmly in identifying the root cause of a problem, whether caused by a musculoskeletal condition or otherwise, and in teaching patients how to prevent it from recurring. This philosophy is at the heart of our physiotherapy practice and is what sets us apart from other clinics. In addition to this core service, we have identified that a more integrated approach to looking after our bodies significantly improves our physical health, mental well-being and reduces the likelihood of injury or the need for corrective treatment. As a result, we have expanded our range of services to encompass three core areas: physiotherapy; fitness; and well-being.

Professor of Judo visits Physiocare!
The Physiocare Prime Movers group were thrilled to host Professor Mike Callan (Professor of Judo at the Institute of Sport, University of Hertfordshire) yesterday to see what we do and what we are all about!

Prof Mike is a highly qualified judo instructor and has been exploring and researching ‘Safer Falling’ for older adults based on judo techniques.

Imran Haq our clinical lead attended a two-day Masterclass in Interventional Pain Management and Neuromodulation in Leicester, with a strong focus on ultrasound-guided spinal procedures.

It was an insightful, hands-on workshop where he practised a range of spinal interventions and developed a better understanding of radiofrequency denervation techniques. The faculty were highly experienced, and a special mention to Sadiq Bhayani, who was exceptional in delivering clear, practical, and impactful teaching.

It was valuable opportunity to network with pain consultants and fellow clinicians, sharing knowledge and experiences in this rapidly advancing field.

He is looking forward to applying these new skills to enhance patient care.
