CS Hydro-Physio

CS Hydro-Physio CS Hydrotherapy was established in 2004, but has recently changed it's name to CS Hydro-Physio, when Caroline Hill qualified as a Veterinary physiotherapist.

CS Hydro-Physio is a canine rehabilitation centre taking veterinary rehabilitation and hydrotherapy referrals. CS Hydro-Physio is passionate about rehabilitation and we don’t do anything else. Focusing on excellence in every aspect of care for our clients and patients - ensuring the best possible outcomes and quality of life. Providing physiotherapy and hydrotherapy for post-surgery or after injury, to manage on-going musculoskeletal or orthopaedic conditions, or as a maintenance programme to prevent tightness and tenderness for all canine conditions

Having both a hydrotherapy pool and an underwater treadmill give us the opportunity to provide a flexible programme ensuring the utmost care for each individuals needs. Hydrotherapy can be used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, orthopaedic conditions, neurological conditions, muscle, ligament and other soft tissue injuries. It can also help with general convalescence and fitness

Swimming helps to improve general fitness, cardiovascular stamina, muscle tone and is also helpful in aiding recovery from injury or surgery and improves fitness, especially in the management of obesity. Muscle wastage begins within 3 days of any immobilisation so to prevent further weakness or injury it is important to rebuild, through safe exercise, any muscles that have deteriorated. It is better to swim dogs in heated water since cold water causes constriction of the blood vessels near the skin and to the superficial muscles (those just under the skin) which restricts the flow of blood making the muscles less efficient. Hydrotherapy is also considered to be a natural anti-inflammatory through its ability to reduce tissue swelling. Using the natural elements of water, canine hydrotherapy provides a non weight bearing form of exercise which can radically help rehabilitate pets with joint or muscular conditions. It also contributes to their general well-being and quality of life. Activity in warm water relieves pain and inflammation, builds muscle strength and tone without impact, increases joint support and strength and allows the body to return to a more natural movement pattern. Canine physiotherapy is focused upon restoring, promoting and maintaining function and physical well-being. It can be used post-surgery or after injury, to manage on-going musculoskeletal or orthopaedic conditions, or as a maintenance programme to prevent tightness and tenderness affecting locomotion and performance. Our Aim:

To give excellent specialist care and support to our patients and their owners. To offer a choice and range of specialist services at CS Hydro-Physio and to ensure that clients are given the right information and help to support their animals at home

Blue-green algae can be toxic to dogs. ☢️

It may appear as scum or green paint on the surface of ponds or lakes, but even a small amount can cause dogs to become seriously ill. Keep them out of water that looks suspicious, and always check for warning signs when out on walks.
