Soft tissue therapy is so much more than just sports massage. Soft tissue therapists are trained to assess your posture and range of movement, and tailor your treatment based on the findings. A combination of powerful tools including muscle energy techniques, soft tissue release, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy and myofascial release are used, as well as deep tissue massage. Treatment can be of huge benefit to nearly all of us living a fast paced Western lifestyle, spending many hours of the day at desks, in cars and hunched over our smart phones and tablets. All of this time leaning forwards and looking down creates huge tensions in the neck and back, and this contributes hugely to back and neck pain, and headaches. I also treat many sportsmen and women, including regularly competing triathletes, rugby players and have a voluntary post with the Oxford University Women's Lightweight Rowing Club, working with them throughout their 2015-2016 training season in preparation for the 2016 Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race. I would be very happy to chat further about the benefits of massage and soft tissue therapy if you have any questions at all.

Excited to be invited back to the serene Yoga Reading for my new workshop “C-Section recovery at any age”.

My aim is to create a beautiful safe space for you to learn how you can take care of your scar to reduce tightness, pain, numbness and, yes, appearance through some mindful massage, movement and breathing work.

This works wonders regardless of how long ago you had your children. If you feel you would benefit from reconnecting your scar with the rest of your core, I hope to see you there.

Sat July 5th, 3-5pm at Yoga Reading 💖
