The Grange is the larger of the two residential homes that Goring Care Homes offers.

The Grange is a family run independent care home in Goring, Reading, providing excellent 24-hour residential care in a warm and friendly environment with just 30 rooms, as well as caring for those living with dementia Situated on the riverbank of the Thames, The Grange is a forty-two bed care home for the active elderly in Goring-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire. The house is set in over ten acres of beautiful landscape gardens with lovely meadows extending down to peaceful walks and the River Thames. It is an elegent listed former manor house having originally been built around 1880.

We were treated to a truly fascinating and inspiring session with wildlife photographer Simon Booker stokerpixThe photos and videos were absolutely breathtaking, and it was so interesting to hear Simon talk about the different camera lenses he uses and just how much patience is needed to capture those perfect moments in the wild. Welcome Pat – Our Resident Ambassador!

We’re delighted to introduce Pat as our new Resident Ambassador here at the Grange.

In this role, Pat will work closely with management to help with the recruitment of new staff and, most importantly, to share residents’ opinions and experiences first hand. Pat will be a voice for fellow residents, advocating on their behalf and helping ensure everyone’s views are heard.

Pat will also be supporting new residents as they settle in, offering a friendly face, reassurance, and guidance during their first days with us — and so much more besides!

This year, we were absolutely delighted to be part of this pen pal scheme, and it truly brought smiles to our residents’ faces. Sharing messages, kindness, and festive cheer has been a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
