I did a home visit last week for a new mom who was having some difficulties breastfeeding her newborn.

As soon as I walked in, I could tell that both mom and dad were, understandably, exhausted. After some work on positioning and general feeding support, I offered to stay longer to hold the baby so they could get some sleep.

Yes, I’m a doula and breastfeeding counsellor, but I’m also a mom. And mom to mom, I knew what was needed at the time and more than happy to lend a hand.

Whether it’s support with feeding your baby, or looking after your baby whilst you get some rest, I am here. Making a difference, no matter how small, is the reason I do this. And I love it ♥️

Tiny toes 😍

I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with my lovely clients postnatally, after the birth of their gorgeous bub.

The fourth trimester is just as important as the birth itself. Supporting my clients postnatally means ensuring they feel nurtured, heard, and confident in their recovery and transition into parenthood. Whether it’s feeding support, practical help, or just a listening ear, I’m here to hold space in these early weeks.

Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and wisdom of women everywhere—especially those navigating the journey of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

As a doula, I have the privilege of standing beside women during some of the most transformative moments of their lives. Birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world; it’s about empowering women to trust their bodies, make informed choices, and feel supported every step of the way.

This International Women’s Day, let’s honour the incredible power of women—our bodies, our voices, and our right to compassionate care. To all the mothers, mothers-to-be, and those who support them: you are seen, valued, and celebrated.

How are you celebrating the women in your life today? Let’s lift each other up!

What an amazing feeling to receive this wonderful message this afternoon! I supported this lovely mum last year and she recently reached out regarding some teething struggles.

I’m so lucky to have such an innate love and passion for what I do. I think it shows ♥️

Big news! I’m moving to Birmingham this summer!

While it’s a big change for my family, I’m so excited to bring my doula support to a new community. From birth and postnatal care to infant feeding and gentle sleep support, I can’t wait to support growing families in my new home.

🥳 Exciting news! 🎉

Super pleased to announce I’ve just enrolled in the Level 4 Gentle Sleep Coaching course, to add even more strings to my doula-ing bow. 🌿 Sleep is such a crucial part of a family’s wellbeing, and I’m eager to support those on their journey to calmer, restful nights.

Watch this space! 😴

Taking some time to recharge and reflect during a weekend break in the forest. Feeling so grateful as I prepare to support two new families on their unique birth journeys.

As I enjoy this peaceful retreat, I’m reminded of how important it is to create moments of calm and reflection — both for myself and for the families I care for. As your doula, my goal is to bring that same sense of peace and support into your birth experience. ✨

Looking forward to the beautiful moments ahead with my new clients! 💕

Another 5 star review!

Are you currently pregnant? Research shows that having a doula-supported birth reduces the chance of interventions such as instrumental delivery and unplanned c-section.

Supporting new parents through every step of their journey is what being a doula is all about. I had the privilege of popping in to see my client postnatally, to share a lovely lunch and accompany them to a postnatal meeting with their midwife.

We reflected on the birth and shared notes to get our heads around the timeline of what was a very fast labour. It was a great opportunity to bring some clarity and understanding, and a great learning experience as a doula. Plus, getting to see the parents embracing parenthood was truly heartwarming.

And of course, the baby snuggles were a bonus!
