I did a home visit last week for a new mom who was having some difficulties breastfeeding her newborn.
As soon as I walked in, I could tell that both mom and dad were, understandably, exhausted. After some work on positioning and general feeding support, I offered to stay longer to hold the baby so they could get some sleep.
Yes, I’m a doula and breastfeeding counsellor, but I’m also a mom. And mom to mom, I knew what was needed at the time and more than happy to lend a hand.
Whether it’s support with feeding your baby, or looking after your baby whilst you get some rest, I am here. Making a difference, no matter how small, is the reason I do this. And I love it ♥️
