About Re:You!

Welcome to Re:You Massage Therapy! Hi, my name is Fiona Nunn and I would like to introduce myself to you. I am a massage therapist I have a level 4 Diploma in Holistic Massage Therapy with Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. I am also qualified in Indian Head Massage and Pregnancy Massage.

Here is a little bit about who I am: I’m the mother of three children, two of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum, so I have been a busy stay–at-home mum for almost 20 years. Now that my children are older and more independent I decided to take my interest in massage to the next level, and in 2017 qualified as a holistic massage therapist with the Massage Training Institute. I loved all the studying and the knowledge that I’ve acquired in my training so far and look forward to continued training to further broaden my massage skill set!

I initially discovered massage as a form of stress relief and I have always loved the deep relaxation and sense of rejuvenation and wellbeing that massage gives me. In a world where busy, stressful lifestyles are the norm, massage offers not just a way of helping the body to release the tension in the muscles and helping the body to heal itself, but also an important oasis of calm and relaxation in an otherwise frantic world. The human body is an amazing machine that is designed to heal itself, but it struggles to do so when we are stressed and our muscles are tight and knotted. Massage allows the body to move back to an optimal level of equilibrium (homeostasis), where it can focus on “rest and recovery” instead of being in “fight or flight” mode. We should all include a monthly massage as part of our self care routine. – don’t take your body for granted!
