🎉 Exciting News from Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough!

Our orthopaedic consultants and anaesthetists, led by Mr Ferenc Toth, have published a study on Pre-Operative Carbohydrate Loading in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Medical Science. This research highlights innovative approaches to supporting patients undergoing elective hip and knee surgery, helping improve well-being, clinical outcomes and adherence.

A fantastic day in Birmingham as we officially opened our new MRI suite! 🎉

The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by Dr Emmanuel Rupert (Managing Director and Group CEO of Narayana Health), alongside Ross Dowsett (Chief Executive of Practice Plus Group Hospitals), Samantha Doubleday (Hospital Director at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham), and Anesh Shetty, Board Member at Narayana Health.

Designed with patients in mind, the new facility offers faster access to scans, shorter waiting times, and a more comfortable experience for both NHS and private patients. We’re helping more people get the answers they need, sooner!

Ophthalmology team wins 'Healthcare Oscar'! 🏆

We’re proud to share that Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology has won Best Provider of Community and Primary Care at the HSJ Independent Healthcare Provider Awards 2026!

The awards ceremony in London was attended by Tom Challinor (Head of Nursing and Governance, Northwest Ophthalmology), Caroline McHugh (Service Director for Ophthalmology), Paul Wharton-Hardman (Operational Governance and Quality Manager), and Konstantinos Balaskas (Medical Director, Ophthalmology). The judging panel praised the service for improving access, reducing waiting times, delivering SMART outcomes, and offering a model of care others could follow.
