Job Vacancy: Trainee Platform Lift Engineer
Redcar and Middlesbrough area
Full-time, generally Monday to Thursday and Friday off. 4 day week when possible.

Direct Lift Solutions Limited. We are looking to fill this role within the next two weeks. Potentially two positions available.
Direct Lift Solutions is a leading provider of platform lift solutions throughout the UK and based in the Tees Valley.
We specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of platform lifts that enhance accessibility for the public in homes or commercial properties. As a company committed to excellence, we are now offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Platform Lift Engineer to join our team.
Job Description:
As a Trainee Platform Lift Engineer, you will embark on an exciting career path in the field of platform lift installation and maintenance. This role offers comprehensive training and the opportunity to gain valuable NVQ qualifications in lift engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist experienced engineers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of platform lifts.
2. Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with platform lifts.
3. Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times.
4. Participate in on-the-job training and classroom learning to acquire NVQ qualifications.
5. Maintain accurate records of work performed.
6. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient project completion.
7. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
Requirements:
1. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
2. A strong desire to learn and develop technical skills.
3. Good problem-solving abilities.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Enthusiasm for a career in lift engineering.
7. A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
8. CSCS card preferred but not essential.

Another fine example of how a home lift can sit within any environment and belong.
This is a recent barn development with the addition of a lift for future proofing the home. Completely bespoke to the clients needs. The end result always gets the thumbs up.

The addition of a lift means that the home is now completely accessible throughout.
Adding a lift to your home is very simple. We can occupy a space as small as a shower cubicle with only a regular, domestic 240v power supply requirement.

Well, here we are again, another first for the UK. The Vimec V6S. The first ever to arrive on our shores.
This is the latest inclined platform to hit the market and it has to be said that it does not disappoint.
Style and ease of use combined to deliver the perfect package.
We love it!

I had to add this for all to see this week. We are installing more and more of these home lifts now, you can see why.
A lovely addition to this new build 3 floor home in Yorkshire. This is a future proofing project as the user does not need a lift but they are not planning on going anywhere so this is to make sure their new home is completely accessible.
Reliable, efficient, customisable and now with a 5 year warranty.
We can offer this in a small enough size to fit in a cupboard or big enough for a wheelchair, just on 240v power too.

Here we have the first Aritco Compact to land in the UK.
This is the showroom lift sat alongside its brother, the Aritco Home Lift.
Both showing that a lift can be a feature of the home and does not have to be an eye sore.

Great start to 2023 with this nice installation of an Aritco Home Lift in Hartlepool.
Any brand new build should consider the need for future proofing as this client did.
This is their forever home so they incorporated a small lift shaft of 900mm x 1500mm to allow for full access throughout the home. The lift only requires a 240v power supply and 38mm pit.
This product is reliable, very quiet, efficient but also easy on the eye! 5 year warranty too.
Good start to the year.

We have absolutely loved being involved with this one. Home elevator with a glass wall in the car to pick up the shaft art. It looks superb, a different picture at each of the 4 floors.
I can see us doing this again somewhere. Very nice.
