I recently came across the “Rubber Ball and Glass Ball” theory… and it instantly made me think about Slimming World journeys.
The idea is simple: not every ball we’re juggling in life is the same.
🥎 Some are rubber.
They can drop… and they bounce.
The slightly-off-plan meal.
The unplanned Swips.
The week where the scales unfairly stay the same.
The moment you think “oh sod it” and eat the biscuit anyway.
Rubber balls. They hit the floor… and tomorrow you pick it back up again.
🔮But some things are like glass.
Your belief that you can do this.
The commitment you made to your health.
The support you get from the group.
The decision to keep showing up, even when it’s not perfect.
Dropped and it can feel like everything’s shattered. Those are the ones worth protecting.
🏆 Weight loss success isn’t about never dropping a ball.
It’s about knowing the difference between the ones that bounce… and the ones that matter most.
So if something “rubber” dropped this week?
Pick it back up.
