People across Worcestershire have been getting in touch with GP practices with questions about the recent meningitis outbreak in Kent.

With Easter just around the corner, and lots of young people heading home from university for a well‑earned break, we wanted to share some helpful information.

Here are the symptoms of meningitis to look out for 👇

If you haven’t been contacted about the Kent outbreak to confirm you're eligible for a vaccination, there’s no need to get a MenB vaccine at this time.

If you’re feeling unwell or are worried about any possible symptoms of meningitis, please contact your GP practice, call NHS 111, or seek urgent medical care if symptoms become severe.
