Well, what can I say. This last 9 weeks since the abrupt closure of Privates Midwives has really tested me to say the least!

But...I'm back 😁 being able to do what I love, supporting families and their tongue tied babies starting from tomorrow! ❤️
This is due to the amazing support from Beautiful Births Ltd enabling myself and other practitioners in the same position to continue to work alongside them, under their employment and governance & umbrella of CQC registration I can restart my support to the families in Worcestershire and surrounding counties.

Update: New and exciting things are happening in the background that will enable me to keep offering my service post 31st August. 😊 but please keep sending in your emails of support for my own CQC registration.

I am still able to offer a tongue tie service up until 31st August, and I am covered by my own public liability insurance to support this. So please keep sharing or reach out if you are struggling yourself with breast or bottle feeding, reflux , colic, or if your baby is struggling with solids. Babies are seen up until the age of 10 months.

⭐️ I need your help and support⭐️

As of Tuesday, 12th August, at 5 pm, Private Midwives closed.
This was out of the blue and has left women and families with no access to antenatal, birth, and postnatal care.
Midwives without jobs.
Tongue-tie practitioners without insurance, and as of 31st August, there will be no CQC registration to be able to provide a tongue tie service.
It has been devastating for all, but I need your help.

I can request to have my CQC application fast tracked. Otherwise, the process can take 6-8 months. However, the CQC requires evidence to support this process.

This is where you can help. I need families who have been seen by myself or any other private tongue tie practitioner in the UK to drop me an email so I am able to evidence

Networking with like-minded health professionals like Holly Makin, who has a passion for supporting new parents, is really important. This is to enable us to safely signpost families to caring and compassionate practitioners who are aiming for the best outcome for those new parents and babies in their care.

Where there is a Tongue-tie babies will compensate with jaw thrust, which can show as a "chompy" breast or bottle feeding.
Cranial osteopathy can help babies who are showing signs of tension, whether this is from a breech or transverse presentation in the womb or being born via forceps, ventouse, a quick birth or ceasarean birth.
