One Hundred Paths remains open to see clients during the current lockdown. Appointments for health reasons are permitted and I continue to adhere to the guidance from the British Acupuncture Council and have implemented a range of COVID secure measures to protect clients in the treatment space.

Cupping is mainly used for drawing out muscular tension; it’s excellent for releasing and softening muscle fibres. Cupping doesn’t hurt, although it can leave colourful, but temporary, marks on the skin. I compare it to having a hoover nozzle stuck on you!

Acupuncture can be helpful for people undergoing active cancer treatment, working safely alongside the medical approach, or post cancer treatment. At the weekly acupuncture clinic I run at East Surrey Hospital, I see people for management of pain, peripheral neuropathy, help with the effects of hormone treatment and for relaxation and stress relief. This morning we kicked off the first ear acupuncture group for men experiencing hot flushes and night sweats post prostate cancer, so it will be interesting to see how the group gets on over the coming weeks.
