Make-up by Robyn Bridal and special occasion make-up artist based in Johannesburg. Where do I begin? As a child I played dress up, as an adult well….

I’m embarrassed to admit it but yes I still play dress up, only now I don’t have to wear my moms clothes and I finally understand my nanny’s grievances with all the washing! My inspiration to become a make up artist has roots back to the good old days of playing dress up, hairdresser-hairdresser and climbing into moms make up, but a lot has to do with my Grandma. Glam Gran, my Granny Ann, was one of the most influential people in my life and I know she would’ve loved to have had the chance to do what I do. I studied through the make up studio in Bryanston and my portfolio is still a work in progress. For now this is a part time gig, perhaps because I have too much sense to quit my day job or because I am just too chicken to take the leap but either way its the start of me following my dream. By far the best make up sponge I've found. The face bobble is not easy to find in Joburg, but when you do find one do not hesitate to buy it! It doesn't come with instructions but it's really simple to use. Apply a dot of foundation to your forehead, a stripe across your nose, each cheek and your chin. Wet the face bobble and squeeze out the excess water. Using a dabbing motion blend your foundation onto your face. The pointed tip is great for blending around the eyes and nose. It really provides a flawless application with very little effort.
