One of my absolute faves! π You've done an amazing job with him, Megan! β€οΈ
Today, after being lost in thought while giving the gang a leg stretch...i had realised that this short, compact, chubby bundle of testosterone fueled grumpiness, has been with me for 2years already!
For my new followers - a little back storyπ€
Having been to 18 different homes within the 2 years he had been in the UK - 6 homes of which were within 4 months...and prior to that, an unknown number of homes back in Ireland along with siring babies and driving the lanes,I dont think he ever imagined he'd find himself a proper home!
Walking through the gates with a belly full of ulcers, physically and mentally scarred and a memoir he didnt want to share.
But here he is, now 10yo, feeling full of life and hooning around showing off infront of the ladies(as usual - although tilly was less than impressed!). Its taken some time to let his guard down and some days he will still wake up on the wrong side of the stable. Snarl and grunt at you.Huff and puff if you approach him too quick or even just breathe in his space. But that's who he is and due to his past, its something ive learnt to accept, as you'll never change him.(Although some days he does make life challengingπ)
Most of the time his face says otherwise, but hes the happiest i think hes ever been! We've had plenty of kinks to iron out - some of which do creep back in to humble me once in a blue moon(he likes to keep me on my toesπ) And with the magic hands of Jenna Payne - McTimoney Veterinary Chiropractor, helping him loosen up and let go of all that long held tension,he's now our little turbo cob!π
Grumpy will always be grumpy. But i think it was a rather fitting new name for him to adopt upon his arrival, whilst also marking a new startπ€
