Today we were privileged to be at Oakfield Gardens Crematorium in Bedfordshire, to help a wonderful family say farewell to a truly special lady.
It was a journey of more than 300 miles for us, and as such we would just like to extend our thanks to Haseldines funeral services, and celebrant Kate Ward for their amazing help in arranging this funeral.

We’re Hiring – Funeral Service Operative – In To Care Team

At Cornwall Funeral Services, we are proud to support families with care, respect and compassion at a very difficult moment in their lives.
We are now looking for a reliable and respectful individual to join our small, dedicated team.

This is a unique and rewarding role suited to someone who takes pride in helping others and working within their local community.

The Role Will Include:
Attending loved ones in the community who have passed away
Collecting and transporting loved ones with care and dignity
Communicating clearly and professionally when required
Ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
Compassionate, calm and respectful
Well presented and professional
Physically able to carry out manual handling duties
Willing to join a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on-call rota
A confident driver with a full UK driving licence

Experience in the funeral profession is not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most to us is the right attitude and a genuine desire to help families.

This role would suit someone who values meaningful work and wants to make a difference.
Applicants must live within 20 minutes of TR15 2AR.

On this gorgeous spring day, our Newlyn branch had the privilege of conducting the funeral for a local Newlyn gentleman at St Peter’s, Newlyn. 🌼

With the sun shining over the harbour and the community coming together, it was a fitting and peaceful farewell. Days like today remind us how special it is to honour a life in the place that meant so much to them, surrounded by family, friends, and familiar shores.

Our thoughts remain with his loved ones as they remember and celebrate his life. 🤍

Recently, a family asked us to take their loved one along one of these special coastal routes on their final journey. Of course, we were honoured to do so — and we paused for a quiet moment to take in the view.

A final journey can be completely tailored to reflect the wishes of you and your loved one. Please never hesitate to share ideas that would make that last goodbye even more personal and meaningful. 💚💛

This is a tremendous honour and a reflection of Scott’s long standing dedication to serving families across Cornwall with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. His commitment to raising standards within the funeral profession and supporting fellow funeral directors has always been at the heart of what we do at CFS.

As President, Scott will represent funeral directors across the Cornwall area, helping to promote excellence, uphold professional standards, and support collaboration within our industry.

Today began early and frost-covered here at Cornwall Funeral Services, and it has been a day of dedication and care as we supported three families with services at Treswithian Downs Crematorium. Two of these services were arranged through our Redruth funeral home, and one through our Newlyn home, and as always, it was our privilege to walk alongside each family as they said their farewells.

Days like today remind us of the trust families place in us at some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives, and we are honoured to serve with compassion, dignity, and respect.

And while the work was heartfelt, the winter chill still made itself known — especially when our vehicles needed washing and preparing in temperatures that had us wondering whether the buckets or our fingertips would freeze first! A huge well done to the team for keeping everything looking professional, even in weather better suited to penguins. 🐧❄️🚗

As the icy spell continues, we would like to wish everyone a calm and safe weekend ahead. If you are travelling in these conditions, please take extra care on the roads — your safety matters.

🎄✨ Our Christmas cards have arrived, and we are officially feeling wonderfully festive here at CFS ✨🎄

Each year, we like to share a little seasonal warmth with the families, colleagues and friends we work alongside, and we’re delighted to continue that tradition again this Christmas. The cards look absolutely beautiful, and we hope they bring a smile and a moment of comfort to everyone who receives one during this special time of year.

We are honoured to include our Forget-Me-Nots seeds again this year, which we supply to the families we care for so they can remember and reflect upon the loved ones they have lost. It is a small gesture of support, comfort and remembrance at a time when memories feel especially present.

A heartfelt thank you to Redborne Printing, Redruth for their care, quality and attention to detail in producing our cards once again. It’s always a pleasure to work with local businesses who take such pride in their craft.
