MEET THE TEAM

Lemuel Boateng, a highly experienced music therapist, professional musician and youth practitioner.

He uses a bespoke blend of music therapy (including live instruments, music technology, and songwriting), mentoring, and career coaching to transform, empower, and positively impact the lives of young people.

He has over 15 years of experience working with young people within the education system, across both mainstream and alternative provision schools, as well as with those known to Youth Offending Services. His professional background includes working as a behaviour mentor and manager, implementing gangs prevention programmes, delivering music therapy interventions, and providing one-to-one mentoring to support personal development, emotional wellbeing, and positive life choices.

Alongside his youth work experience, Lemuel is an accomplished professional musician with over 20 years in the music industry. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing four different instruments, and has worked extensively as a session musician. His deep understanding of music performance, production, and creative expression underpins the therapeutic and developmental work as a music therapist.

This unique combination of professional musicianship, youth work expertise, and therapeutic practice has positioned Lemuel with the skills, knowledge, and vision to make great impact in young people lives.

MEET THE TEAM

Michelle is an Integrative Psychotherapist who works with adults and has particular expertise in supporting adolescents and young adults transitioning out of the care system. Over the past five years, Michelle has provided therapeutic services to children, young people, and families, helping young people navigate difficult transitions and develop greater emotional wellbeing and resilience. Prior to her training as a psychotherapist, Michelle qualified as a secondary school teacher and served as a senior leader within a specialist educational setting. Throughout her career, she has developed comprehensive experience working with individuals and families facing complex challenges. Her therapeutic work has addressed a broad spectrum of needs, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, abuse, guiding families through parental separation, relationship difficulties among peers and within families, chronic medical conditions, and gender transition. Her compassionate and practical approach has enabled clients to find strategies for coping and to strengthen their confidence in the face of adversity.

Currently, Michelle works in private practice and serves as a non-clinical supervisor for teaching professionals in the alternative provision sector, supporting colleagues to enhance their own practice and wellbeing.

Michelle’s approach is flexible and led by the individual needs of each young person, adult, or family, always aiming to foster lasting change and personal growth.

Self trust changes everything.

It affects your decisions, your relationships, your boundaries, and your peace.

It’s not about never doubting yourself.
It’s about knowing you’ll show up for yourself when it matters.

Some days can exhaust your emotions

If you’re ending today feeling drained, give yourself permission to soften.
Close the laptop.
Put the phone down.
Lower the expectations.

January can make it feel like everything should already be in motion, goals met, routines formed, motivation high.
But growth isn’t measured by how strong you start. It’s shaped by your willingness to keep going.

Progress doesn’t expire with January, it continues, one small step at a time.

Be kind to yourself. The year is still unfolding.
