Activities include, music, dance, art, drama, cooking, digital skills and much more. Dayspace is part of Millsted Care, which is a family-run company providing person-centred residential homes and day services in Surrey. We specialise in working with adults with a learning disability and our passion is to see each person that we work with develop their individual potential. The countdown is on to the festive event of the season: the Dayspace Christmas Showcase! Next up on The Dayspace Diaries – our new series where we celebrate the stories and journeys of our amazing community – is Rochelle, who attends sessions at our Reigate venue.

Each Friday, Rochelle attends Pamperspace, part of which involves session leader Gemma doing the ladies’ hair and make up. This week, Rochelle asked Gemma to do her make up too – and this was the result. We love this photo of the two of them showing off the makeovers they’d done on each other!

Last week, we celebrated . So not only did our Dayspace venues smell absolutely incredible as the Bakespace teams cooked up a storm with their Matar Paneer curries, but our Createspace sessions also produced some amazing tie dye art using the popular curry spice, turmeric!

We really do have such fun in our Dayspace sessions. But don’t just take our word for it… here’s a little video from one of our recent Thursday Dancespace sessions at Warlingham, showing their amazing dance to ‘You’re Welcome’ from Moana. And our fantastic attendees learned the dance to the entire song in just two weeks - we're super impressed!

Our Millsted Care residents had a fantastic day taking part in the Quality Street Fair, a vibrant community event celebrating local gardening and produce, with our friends at Redhill.

One of the highlights was the flowers, plants, vegetables, and fruits competition, where we proudly entered our home-grown vegetables to compete for a prize.

All our service users attended the fair and got involved by voting in the competition, making it a truly inclusive and engaging experience. The atmosphere was lively, with music, activities, and plenty of smiles throughout the day!

After a busy and enjoyable afternoon, we wrapped up the celebration with a delicious roast dinner at Toby Carvery – the perfect way to end a day full of fun and community spirit.
