🌟 Three years ago, Lahiru Wickramasinghe made a bold leap.
He left a career in finance and banking in Sri Lanka, arrived in North Wales, and walked into a world completely different from spreadsheets and balance sheets. He walked into care work and he's never looked back.
From day one, it was clear Lahiru brought something special. Growing up in Sri Lanka, where families live close and care for one another naturally, he already understood what this work is really about. As Olwen, one of TLC's founding directors, puts it:
"He brings sunshine into the homes he visits. He smiles all the time. Clients genuinely look forward to their visits with him."
In just three years, Lahiru has completed his Level 2 in Care and earned a promotion to Senior Carer, Client Assessment and Training Coach, now writing personalised care plans, assessing new service users, and mentoring the wider TLC team.
At the three year milestone, he joins our long service recognition scheme, receiving an extra day of annual leave and a pay rise in thanks for his loyalty, reliability, and the warmth he brings every single day.
We couldn't be prouder. Thank you, Lahiru. 💙

💷 Salary: £25,000 base for 37.5 hrs/week
increasing to £14/hr (Mon–Fri), £15/hr (Sat–Sun) following probation period.
🕒 Hours: Full-time & part-time – set rotas, alternate weekends off
🚗 Mileage: 45p per mile

Tender Loving Care Ltd is a family-run care company established in 2008, providing high-quality, person-centred care across Conwy County.

We’re recruiting four female Community Care Assistants due to specific service user needs.

A full UK driving licence and your own car are essential.

TLC holds an active sponsorship licence and can consider Skilled Worker sponsorship for eligible UK-based or overseas applicants.

The Role

Supporting people in their own homes with:

• Personal care & medication
• Meal preparation
• Companionship
• Light household tasks

Full training, induction, and ongoing support provided.

Pay & Benefits

• £25,000 base salary (37.5 hrs/week)
