Getting the diagnosis right matters.

Not every thick or damaged nail is a fungal infection.
Before starting treatment, it is important to confirm the cause with proper testing.

It's Christmas time and I’ve noticed an increase of people using medicated corn plasters, and unfortunately, this is leading to more harm than good. While these plasters are marketed as a solution for corns, in my professional opinion, they are not, they can cause burns and potentially lead to ulceration of the skin. More often than not, I see patients coming to me with worsened problems after using these products.

The active ingredients in these plasters can be too harsh, especially when left on for extended periods, resulting in damage to healthy tissue. If you’re dealing with corns or other foot issues, please seek professional advice instead of resorting to over the counter solutions that can worsen your condition.

Your feet deserve the best care, so I always recommend a tailored, professional approach for treatment. If you're experiencing discomfort, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me for the right guidance.
