Introducing our carers - Kia

Kia has been a part of our Prestatyn team for the last three years. During this time she has also been studying Neuropsychology at University and recently graduated. She is hoping to find a career in this field soon before applying for her doctorate. In her spare time Kia enjoys travelling, crocheting and volunteering for the Stroke Association. When she was younger she used to take part in competitive dancing, including ballet and tap.

Introducing our carers - Julie

Julie joined our Prestatyn team almost 18 months ago. Julie had worked in care previously before moving to the retail sector and volunteering for Cats Protection. Outside of work she loves walking her dog, cycling, socializing with friends and going on holiday. Her favourite destination is Tenerife. She is glad to have rejoined the care sector as she loves her job, it is very rewarding.

Introducing our carers - Dean

Dean joined our Rhyl team earlier this year but he has worked in care since 2013 when he left the building trade. He loves spending time with his family, watching films (his favourite is Terminator 2), cycling, DIY and gardening and he supports Bristol City and Colwyn Bay FC.

Introducing our office team - Jayne

Jayne joined us in 2003 as a care support worker and has been our Senior Care Manager for many years. Jayne has a 12 year old Malshi called Lily who she often brings to work. She also recently became a Nainy to Alba who she loves spending time with. She loves watching football and is a huge Evertonian. Many moons ago Jayne played rounders for Wales and once beat the whole school year (boys & girls) in the 100m sprint. Jayne loves cooking, walking Lily and spending time with family and friends. She loves to entertain and loves a good party. There’s never a dull moment when she’s around!

Introducing our office team - Lydia

Lydia started helping out with accounts here when she was in high school. She started full-time in the office after finishing her A-levels and became our Responsible Individual in 2017. Lydia enjoys going to her local pub with her partner. She enjoys watching darts and has been to Frankfurt to watch the world cup three times, in which Wales won once! Last year Lydia adopted a big fluffy ginger cat, Neco, who she loves more than anything!

Introducing our carers - Rod

Rod has been with us for just over 18 months, working in our Prestatyn and Rhyl areas. He likes watching sports and is a big Everton fan. His hobbies are coarse fishing, tropical fishkeeping and cooking and eating curries. He also likes going on the bus with his newly acquired bus pass! Rod didn’t have any care work experience before joining ourselves but he loves looking after people.

Introducing our office team - Marie

Marie joined us in 2005 as a Care Support Worker before becoming a full-time member of our office team & Private Client Representative. After a long week in work, she likes to spend her Friday evenings listening to her Spotify tunes whilst enjoying a few gins. She also enjoys spending time with her family, and follows her sister’s band. Before joining ourselves she managed a bridal shop in Rhyl with her mum and worked in a few bars. Marie once did a parachute jump for a Denbighshire children’s charity!

Introducing our carers - Yvonne

Yvonne joined us in 2023 and works in our Prestatyn area. Before joining ourselves she worked with learning disabilities for many years. Outside of work she has a baking business Love Cakes and enjoys spending time with her grandkids and dogs. She also has a big pond in her back garden with Koi carp!
