🌅 This Wednesday at Archway Recovery — A Night of Hope with Teen Challenge uk 🌅
🗓 Wednesday 12th November | 5–7 PM | Salvation Army, Rhyl | Doors open 4:30 PM

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

This Wednesday, we have the great honour of welcoming back Debbie and Kenny from the incredible Christian charity Teen Challenge uk — a ministry that has been bringing hope, freedom, and restoration to those trapped in addiction for over 60 years.

✨ About Teen Challenge:
Teen Challenge is a Christ-centred recovery ministry dedicated to helping people break free from addiction and discover new life through faith, discipleship, and community. Rooted in the Gospel and inspired by Isaiah 61:1, their mission is to bring hope to the hopeless, love to the lost, and freedom to the captive through the power of Jesus Christ.

For the past six months, Debbie and Kenny have been faithfully serving here in Rhyl and across North Wales — walking into some of the darkest and most forgotten places of our community, carrying the light and love of Christ wherever they go.🙏

They have been of tireless service for six months — out on the streets, in recovery hubs, churches, hostels, community centres, and even personal homes — meeting people right where they are, listening with compassion, praying with the broken, and reminding every person that no one is beyond God’s reach.❤️

Their love has not been quiet or comfortable — it has been active, courageous, and sacrificial. They have personally driven people across the country to Teen Challenge rehabilitation centres, helping them take that brave first step into a new life of hope and healing.🙌

Their compassion, humility, and perseverance have touched this town deeply. They have spoken light into darkness, hope into despair, and truth into broken hearts — showing us all what love in action truly looks like. Because of their ministry, many in our own community have found the courage to reach out, seek help, and begin new lives rooted in Christ.✝️

As their time here in North 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 wales draws to a close, we want to gather together to honour, thank, and bless Debbie and Kenny for their tireless service. They will be sharing about their time here — the miracles they’ve witnessed, the lives transformed, and the faith that has carried them through it all.

💬 Expect an evening of honest testimony, deep gratitude, and powerful reminders that God still moves in miraculous ways.

💖 Let’s come together this Wednesday to celebrate and thank Debbie and Kenny for everything they’ve done for Rhyl and beyond. Their love, faith, and obedience have left a lasting imprint on this community and a beautiful testimony of how Jesus can heal, restore, and transform lives.

Come and be encouraged — come and see what love can do. ✨

🌟 Meet the Team — This Week We Shine a Light on Tommy! 🌟

Tommy’s a local lad with a big heart 💖, a sharp wit 😄, and a story that reminds us all — recovery is real, and change is possible.

Back in February, Tommy walked through the doors of Archway Recovery for the first time. He’ll tell you himself — it wasn’t easy. Fear, ego, and doubt nearly stopped him. His mum was the one who nudged him in (thanks, Mum! 😉).

At that time, Tommy was in the darkness of co***ne and alcohol addiction — trapped in the mental and emotional torture that addiction brings. He was anxious, confused, and frightened 😔. But despite the fear, he took that brave first step and walked through our doors 🚪.

That was nearly ten months ago.

Tommy’s a cheeky chappy with a sense of humour that can light up any room — and trust us, he does! 😂
He’s naturally sociable, talkative, and full of life. You’ll often find him chatting to newcomers, lifting spirits, and cracking jokes that have everyone laughing. Whether he’s doing check-ins, welcoming people at the door, or offering a word of encouragement, Tommy’s warmth and charm shine through. ✨

From the moment he arrived, Tommy had an open mind and a willing heart. ❤️
He was ready to listen, learn, and do whatever it took — and that determination has shaped the man we see today. He’s funny, caring, dependable, and one of those people everyone enjoys being around. His words carry hope, and his presence brings light. 🌅

In October, Tommy and his mum took on the Chester Marathon — 28 miles! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ — and raised over £1,000 for Archway Recovery. That’s grit, heart, and generosity in action. 💪

Now, Tommy’s one of our very own Archway Recovery team members — living proof that God can bring anyone out of the darkest places. He turns up early ⏰, helps with the register, steps into any role needed, and shows others what’s possible. He’s a trusted friend, a dedicated servant, and a walking testimony to God’s transforming power. ✝️

He’s even become quite the man of faith — Bible and all 📖 — and gives back every week to Archway Recovery, the very place that helped him find freedom and purpose.

So here’s to you, Tommy! 🙌
Thank you for your service, your humour, your heart, and your courage.
You make Archway Recovery proud every single week. 💜

Keep shining your light, lad. Recovery & freedom looks good on you. 🌟

💬 If you’re reading this and you’re struggling — or you know someone who is — come and see what Archway Recovery is all about.
You’ll find warmth, honesty, laughter, and people who truly understand. There’s no judgment here — just hope, healing, and a place to belong.

🌿 KETAMINE IS DEVASTATING LIVES — BUT THERE IS HOPE. 🌿

Right now, more and more people across our community are struggling with ketamine — feeling lost, anxious, and trapped in a cycle that’s hard to break. Families are hurting. Young people are suffering.
If that’s you, or someone you love, please hear this: things can change. Life doesn’t have to stay this way.

At Archway Recovery, we see what ketamine is doing to our community — and we’re here to help. Our team is made up of people who’ve lived through addiction themselves and now walk in freedom. We offer understanding, not judgement, and a safe space to talk, learn, and start again.

💬 You can contact us in the way that feels right for you:
•Message us privately on Facebook

•Email 📧 Archway.Recovery.Rhyl@gmail.com

•Request a confidential phone call

•Connect through WhatsApp for gentle support

•Or ask for a home visit if that feels easier

🏠 You’re also welcome to join us every Wednesday, 4:30–7 PM at the Salvation Army, Rhyl.

If you find you can’t stop using, or have little control over how much you take, you may be suffering from addiction — but there is a solution.
You can stop, and you can stay stopped with the right help, guidance, and support.
Understanding what addiction really is — an illness of mind and body — is the first step toward recovery.

🌿 This Wednesday at Archway Recovery — Exploring the 12 Step Fellowships 🌿

Are you new to recovery — or maybe just curious about what the 12 Step Program is really about?
This week’s session at Archway Recovery is the perfect place to find out. 💜🧡

In the second half of our evening, three of our Archway team members will be sharing from personal experience about the 12 Step fellowships that have changed millions of lives worldwide.

Together we’ll take a gentle, simple look at:
✨ What the 12 Step fellowships are — AA, CA, and NA
✨ What a meeting really means (it’s not just sitting in a circle!)
✨ What a fellowship truly is — a community of people helping each other recover
✨ And what the program of action offers — a spiritual solution that brings real, lasting change

If you’ve ever wondered how the 12 Steps actually work or what happens in a fellowship meeting, this session will give you a clear and hopeful introduction. 🌱

You’ll also hear a little history — how the very first 12 Step program was written nearly 90 years ago by over one hundred recovered men and women, alongside doctors, psychiatrists, drug and alcohol specialists.
It became a message of faith, understanding, and freedom that still transforms lives across the world today. 🌍

Our aim this week is to open the door of understanding — to show that recovery isn’t only possible… it’s powerful, it’s spiritual, and it’s for anyone who’s ready to begin. 💛

🕔 When & Where:
📍 The Salvation Army, Windsor Street, Rhyl
🕓 Doors open 4:30 PM for refreshments
🕔 Main session 5:00 – 7:00 PM

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re brand new, seeking help, supporting someone you love, or simply curious about the Twelve Step approach to recovery.

💜 Every journey begins with a single act of courage — showing up.
If you’re ready to take that step, we’ll be here to walk beside you.
No judgment, no pressure — just people who care and understand. 🌿

🌟 This Wednesday at Archway Recovery — A Powerful Personal Testimony of Faith, Freedom & Hope 🌟

This week we’re honoured to welcome our very own Tom — Archway’s Treasurer and valued board member, who plays a key role in steering Archway forward — as he shares his powerful personal journey from co***ne addiction to freedom, faith, and purpose.

Tom’s story is real, raw, and full of heart.
He’ll be sharing what life was like in the madness of co***ne addiction and what happened when he finally surrendered, and where life has brought him today — walking in faith and freedom. ✨

A true local lad, many in the community know Tom — as a husband, father, son, brother, and good mate (and yes, the man who keeps Archway’s accounts in line and the rest of us in check! 💰😄).

Outside of Archway, Tom is a keen boxer — passionate about the gym, discipline, and keeping both mind and body strong in recovery. 🥊💪

But beyond the spreadsheets, the gloves, and the budgeting workshops, Tom is living proof that recovery works.
His life has been transformed through the 12 Step Program, a growing faith in God, and the grace and mercy that only God can give. When Tom reached the end of himself, God stepped in and did what he never could on his own — and that’s where real change began.
Today, he’s studying theology, helping others find hope, and showing through his own life that when we let God in, transformation isn’t just possible — it’s promised. 🙌

This Wednesday, Tom’s story will remind us all —
➡️ No one is too far gone.
➡️ Change is possible.
➡️ Recovery is real.

Come and join us for an evening of truth, laughter, inspiration, and hope.
You’ll laugh, you might cry — but you’ll definitely leave believing in miracles again. ✨

🌟 MEET THE TEAM: TONY 🌟

If there was ever a miracle story of recovery — this man is it! 🙌

Born and raised right here in Rhyl, Tony is a familiar face to many. But the man people see today is a world away from the one he used to be. After spending over 20 years trapped in addiction to he**in and crack co***ne, Tony’s life was once filled with chaos, darkness, and no hope.

✨ Tony is over four years free from all mind-altering substances and thriving in recovery. ✨
He’s a proud member of a 12-step fellowship, a sponsor, and a shining example of what happens when courage meets community.

Tony has rebuilt his life from the ground up:
🚗 Passed his driving test and got a car on the road
💑 In a loving relationship
👨‍👩‍👧 Reconnected with family
🎂 Recently celebrated his 50th birthday — grateful, smiling, and stronger than ever

These days, Tony’s life is full of new experiences and adventure. 🌍
He’s partial to a little holiday away, and loves getting involved in anything that gets him out and about 🙌

Those who know Tony will tell you — he’s loyal, kind, funny, and full of heart. The kind of bloke who’ll make you laugh one minute and inspire you the next.

💬 Tony now spends his time helping others find freedom, attending unity days, groups, and meetings all across North Wales. He gives back what was so freely given to him — with humility, humour, and a massive heart.

🧡Tony, you’re a walking miracle — a bright light in our community and a living reminder that recovery is real, and change is possible. Thank you for all you do, for the laughter, the hope, and the heart you bring to Archway Recovery. 💜

Happy 6 years sobriety Natalie Leuty 🥳✝️❤️

From everyone at Archway Recovery we would like to say thank you so much for your continued hard work in serving others and bringing hope to so many.

6 years ago today you woke up after drinking the day before. Full of fear, shame, guilt and hopelessness. This was the start of a recovery journey that has gone from strength to strength. You heard a message, the same message many of us have heard but unfortunately many are still yet to hear.

Someone shared hope, that there is a solution, that there is freedom from the torture of addiction.

You walked the path God laid out before you.

Through working a 12 step program the mental obsession to drink has been completely removed, the voice that used to tell you ‘this time will be different’ or you will ‘control it this time’ has gone.

By your own admission there’s been challenges, life has been up and down but through it all you have stayed faithful to God and are committed to your recovery, through His grace you are now celebrating 6 years of continuous sobriety.

Your story shows that recovery is possible, we can and do recover. No matter how far we have fallen, there is always hope.

Thank you for your tireless service to others, and for your passion of trying to reach those who are still trapped where we once were. And thank you your obedience to step out in faith, listening to God because if you didn’t, there would be no Archway.

You are loved by so many, I don’t think you realise the impact you have on this community.

We love you Nat 🧡💜

🌟 MEET THE TEAM — TOMMY 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Tommy — our treasurer director, and all-round top bloke! 🙌

Once caught in the chaos of co***ne addiction, Tommy’s life was heading down a dark and destructive path. But through recovery, faith, and the grace of God, his story was rewritten. ✝️

Today he’s a recovered man, a proud husband and dad, and a steady friend to many in both the recovery and Christian communities. 💚 His life is living proof that when grace steps in, broken stories become beautiful again.❤️

💷 THE TREASURER WITH A HEART FOR TRUTH
Tommy keeps Archway’s finances transparent, honest, and accountable — every penny tracked with care and integrity.
With a background in finance, he’s a natural at managing budgets, balancing books, and keeping everything above board. 💼

From spreadsheets to joinery, Tommy can turn his hand to almost anything — making him a true all-rounder (and the first person we’ll call when we get our new premises! 🛠️).

🙏 FAITH, FAMILY & SERVICE
Tommy’s heart for others doesn’t stop at Archway. He’s studying Theology, runs Bible studies, and shares video blogs filled with messages of faith, hope, and recovery. 🎥

He also leads Archway’s budgeting workshops, teaching that financial recovery is part of rebuilding confidence and life itself. 💪

🥊 BEYOND THE NUMBERS
When he’s not balancing books or quoting Scripture, you’ll find him boxing, in the gym, or building something from scratch — usually without instructions! 😄

Tommy might not always be front and centre, but his faith, strength, and quiet dedication are felt everywhere at Archway Recovery. We’re so proud to call him part of the family — steady, skilled, humble, and always ready to serve.

🙌 Come and meet Tommy — a local lad, recovered addict, and quiet powerhouse behind Archway Recovery. From spreadsheets to sawdust, he keeps everything running smooth!

📸 From chaos to calling — Tommy’s proof that recovery really does rebuild lives.💜
