🤍🧡 Celebrating 🧡🤍
Eve’s 9-month recovery milestone 🙌🙏🕊️

Yesterday, 25th January, our friend and team member Eve celebrated nine months in recovery from co***ne addiction.🙏

Eve came to Archway Recovery nine months ago broken, ashamed, and stuck in addiction. Today, the change in her life is beautiful to see.💫❤️

Her recovery hasn’t come from willpower, but from working a 12 Step programme, coming to believe in a Power greater than herself, and treating addiction as the illness it is.

She is now a valued part of our team, giving her time and heart to help the still-suffering alcoholic, addict, and gambler who walks through our doors.

Eve, we are so proud of you. Your journey is living proof that recovery truly does work.

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair… and set my feet on a rock.” – Psalm 40:2

A huge well done on your nine months of Recovery

🤍🧡 This Wednesday at Archway Recovery
Beth’s Recovery Testimony 🧡🤍

Beth is turning six years sober this year from alcoholism and will be sharing an honest recovery testimony about what addiction was like, what helped her change, and what life looks like now.

She came into a 12 step fellowship broken but willing. Today she is free, self employed and running her own creative business, recently engaged, part of Festival Church in Towyn, and a born again Christian who believes God restored her life. She now gently gives her time to support and encourage others who are finding their way in recovery and faith, walking alongside them with the same compassion she was once shown.

Her journey is living proof that recovery works and that no one is beyond hope.

Archway Recovery is open to everyone.
No referral. No judgement. No pressure.

You will be welcomed by a team with lived experience, men and women who have walked through addiction themselves and now live free.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.” Ezekiel 36:26 ✨

🎉🎂 Today we celebrate a very special lady, Sue’s 65th birthday! 🎂🎉
(and 65 never looked so good 😉)

Sue is so much more than our birthday girl. She is a huge part of the heart of Archway Recovery and people like Sue are the reason recovery feels possible here.

🧭 Advisor & director
🛡️ Safeguarding officer
🤝 First aider (on occasion)
📋 Registers
✔️ Refreshments stock-take
☕ Tea & coffee
💜 Often the first kind face through the door

From day one, Sue has helped shape Archway into the safe, calm and welcoming place it is today. She carries wisdom, compassion and quiet strength, and has a beautiful way of putting people at ease, especially those new to recovery.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.”
1 Peter 4:10

Sue, we are so thankful for your heart, faith, humour, steady presence, and the deep care you show to others. You help steer Archway forward more than you realise, and we are truly blessed to have you.

Happy 65th Birthday, Sue 🥰🎉

🧡 This Wednesday at Archway Recovery – You Are Welcome Here 🧡

Struggling with addiction – or supporting someone who is?

You don’t have to carry it on your own.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Archway Recovery is a safe, non-judgemental Christian recovery community, led by people with lived experience. No referrals. No pressure. Just real people, genuine support, and real hope.

Our evening runs as normal:
🕔 5:00–6:00pm – Recovery check-in

Then from:
🕕 6:00–7:00pm - food, connection and community 💜 (and we’ll also be celebrating one of our own)

This week we’re marking Sue’s 65th birthday – our much-loved team member and director – with a relaxed community social.

But please know this:
✨ You do NOT need to know Sue
✨ You do NOT need to be part of the group already
✨ You do NOT need to have it all together

If you walk through our door, you belong here.

💜You’re invited to Archway Recovery this Wednesday

This week we’ll be hearing a personal recovery testimony.
Real, honest, and full of hope.

Ant is a grateful recovered alcoholic, husband and dad.
After years of struggle, he reached a place of surrender in August 2021 and everything began to change.

Through recovery, faith, and community, Ant found a new way to live.
In 2025 he was baptised, a moment he says changed everything.

Today, he lives by Christian principles and walks alongside others who are still struggling, because he remembers what it felt like to be there.

Everyone is welcome.
This is a peer led space, run by people with lived experience of recovery.

You don’t need to have the answers.
Just a willingness to come and listen.

🤍You are welcome here.
🤍 Together, we can recover.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone, the new is here.”

🌱 Let’s begin 2026 with hope 🌱

As the New Year begins, many people are finding things harder than they expected. That might be addiction, concern for someone they love, or uncertainty about what comes next.

This Wednesday, Archway Recovery opens its doors for our first session of 2026.

We will be hearing a real recovery story from Ant, a local gentleman who is over four years sober. Ant will be sharing honestly about his journey through addiction, the solution he found through a 12 Step fellowship programme, and his continued sobriety.

What the evening looks like:

💜5:00–6:00pm
A gentle check-in space

☕ 6:00–6:15pm
A short break

🌱 6:15–7:00pm
Our second session, with Ant sharing his personal testimony

If things feel stuck, messy, or hard to explain right now, this space exists for moments like that.

🕟 Doors open from 4:30pm and you are welcome to arrive at any point during the evening
📍 The Salvation Army, Windsor Street, Rhyl

Sometimes hope begins by simply walking through the door 🧡

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

If you are not able to come along just yet, one of our team is always here to listen. You are very welcome to reach out to us at
