🌊❄️ Archway Recovery is taking the plunge in Rhyl! ❄️🌊

This Boxing Day, the Archway Recovery team will be joining the RNLI Rhyl Festive Dip 🏊‍♀️
We’ll be down on the beach from 12pm look out for the swimming caps, armbands… and possibly a snorkel 😄

You can register online or sign up on the day, so there’s still time to get involved.

We’re taking part to raise awareness and support the incredible volunteers at RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat Station, who do life-saving work for our community all year round 💙

At Archway, we believe recovery is about showing up and giving back
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)

Come down, cheer us on, donate if you can, or take the plunge with us!

🎄 Twelve Days of Christmas
Day 3 🎄

Archway Recovery 💜

Day 3 Grace ✨

Biblical grace is not about being let off lightly.
It is about being met with love
even while we are still healing.

At Christmas, grace matters deeply in recovery.
This season can stir grief, regret, loneliness, and shame.
Old memories surface.
Expectations feel heavy.
And many people feel the weight of who they used to be.

Grace speaks gently into that space.

Grace reminds us that we do not have to earn our place.
That our past does not disqualify us.
That we are allowed to be unfinished, learning, and human.

In recovery, grace is what makes honesty possible.
It softens self-judgement.
It allows us to tell the truth without fear of rejection.
And it gives us permission to begin again — one day at a time 🌱

Christmas is the story of grace made visible.
God stepping into brokenness, not with condemnation,
but with compassion, mercy, and presence.
Grace came quietly into struggle, mess, and real life
and it still meets us there today.

✨ “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith.”
(Ephesians 2:8) ✨

If today feels heavy with guilt, regret, or self-blame, hold onto this 💜
Grace does not erase the past.
It makes room for healing and a different future.

✨ Grace restores dignity.
✨ Grace creates space to heal.
✨ Grace reminds us we are still worthy of love and hope.

From all of us at Archway Recovery 🤍
We walk with honesty.
We honour courage.
And we believe every life is worth restoring.

💜 There is grace.
🧡 There is hope.
💜 Recovery is possible.

💜 Archway Recovery Christmas Eve Update 💜

We want to gently let you know that Archway Recovery will not be open this Wednesday evening (Christmas Eve, 24th December) at the Salvation Army in Windsor Street, Rhyl.

We’re truly sorry for any disappointment this may cause. We know Christmas can be a difficult, emotional, or lonely time for many especially for those in recovery or those supporting someone they love.

This pause has not been taken lightly. Archway has been open faithfully throughout the year, and this Christmas Eve we are allowing our volunteer team time to rest after serving week in, week out with such commitment and care.

Although we won’t be open on Wednesday evening, our care for our recovery community remains the same.

If you are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply need to reach out, our team will still be available over the Christmas period:

📧 Together@ArchwayRecovery.co.uk
💬 Facebook Messenger please message our page and someone will respond.

We’ll be open again on New Year’s Eve Wednesday 31st December, and we’ll be sharing more about that soon.

From all of us at Archway Recovery, we’re holding our community in heart and prayer this Christmas. Whatever this season looks like for you, you matter, and you are worthy of care, kindness, and compassion.

✨ “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning.”
(Lamentations 3:22–23) ✨

With love,
Archway Recovery 🤍

🎄 Four Days of Christmas
Day 4 🎄

Archway Recovery 💜

Day 4 is about Joy ✨

Biblical joy is not the absence of pain.
It is the presence of hope.

In recovery, joy doesn’t come from everything being fixed.
It grows when we begin to see clearly again
when the fog lifts,
when truth replaces shame,
and when we realise our lives still hold meaning and purpose 🌱

Joy is what stirs when healing begins.
When we start to believe that change is possible.
When we discover we are not forgotten, written off, or beyond redemption.

Christmas carries that same joy.
Not loud or shallow
but born quietly into a broken world.
Joy came as a promise that God had not turned away.
That light was entering darkness.
That restoration was already on its way.

✨ “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
(Nehemiah 8:10) ✨

If today feels heavy, hold onto this 💜
Joy doesn’t deny suffering.
It sustains us through it.

✨ Joy is hope that endures.
✨ Joy is strength rooted in God’s presence.

From all of us at Archway Recovery 🤍
We walk with honesty.
We honour courage.
And we believe every life is worth restoring.

💜 There is joy.
🧡 There is hope.
💜 Recovery is possible.

🎄 Five Days of Christmas
Day 5 🎄

Archway Recovery 💜

Day 5 is about Peace 🕊️

At Christmas, peace doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes easy.
And in recovery, it doesn’t mean the road is finished.

Peace means you don’t have to be afraid of the road anymore.

In recovery, peace grows when we begin to realise we’re not fighting alone.
That help is real.
That change is possible.
That today can be different from yesterday 🌱

Christmas carries that same hope.
Peace arrived not as a demand — but as a gift.
A quiet promise that light still comes, even in the darkest seasons.

✨ “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”
(John 14:27) ✨

If today feels uncertain, hold onto this 💜
You are moving forward ,even if it’s slow.
You are stronger than you think.
And what you’re doing still matters.

🕊️ Peace is hope with roots.
🕯️ Peace is believing tomorrow can be different.

From all of us at Archway Recovery 🤍
We don’t have all the answers
but we do believe in you.
And we’re honoured to walk this journey alongside you.

💜 There is peace.
🧡 There is hope.
💜 Recovery is possible.

🎄 6 Days of Christmas — Day 6 🎄
Archway Recovery 🤍

Day 6 is about courage. 💛

Not loud bravery.
Not having it all together.
But the quiet courage it takes to admit, “I’m struggling.”

For many people, especially at Christmas, courage doesn’t look heroic.
It looks like getting through the day. 🌱
It looks like not picking up.
It looks like opening up instead of shutting down.
It looks like asking for help when pride, fear, or shame say don’t.

In recovery, courage is often the first real step
before change, before healing, before rest. ✨

📖 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you.”
(Joshua 1:9)

That courage doesn’t mean walking alone.
It means choosing not to hide anymore. 🤍

At Archway Recovery, every one of us has had a moment where we had to be brave enough to reach out.
We are recovered addicts, alcoholics, and gamblers.
We know how frightening that first step can feel — because we’ve taken it ourselves. 💜

If Christmas is approaching and you feel overwhelmed, frightened, ashamed, or unsure where to turn ❤️
please know this:
It takes courage to speak.
It takes courage to ask.
And that courage is honoured here. 🕊️

If you need someone to talk to, we are here.

There is no pressure, no judgement, and no expectation …just people who care. 🤝

From all of us at Archway Recovery 💜
You don’t have to be strong to come here.
You just have to be willing to take one brave step. 🌟

Quietly. Gently. With courage. ✨

💜 Thank You from Archway Recovery 💜

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our first sober festive Brothers & Sisters evening possible at Rhyl Town Hall. It was a really special night — built on generosity, service, and unity.

This event was many months in the making, with a lot of preparation happening quietly behind the scenes. It could not have happened without the kindness, support, and willingness of so many people coming together.

Our sincere thanks to:

• Morrisons (Marsh Road, Rhyl) for the kind gift card

• Gloria Pitstop for her generous cheque donation towards the event

• Richard Kendrick for donations for our drinks station

• Leanne Fiveash for her kind donation of bottled water and shortbread

• Denbighshire Leisure for allowing us to hire the Town Hall and for the beautiful Christmas tree

• Sussex Street Church for lending us the hot water urn

• Margaret, who worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful buffet — her care and generosity truly blessed the evening

• A heartfelt thank you to Louie’s sister for the delicious homemade brownies and cupcakes — they were so appreciated
Vicky from Blossom & Bloom for the grateful donation of coffee / teabags and sugar.

• Gareth (DJ Jackie Baxter), who generously gave his time and talent to DJ the evening, creating a great atmosphere and bringing energy and joy to the room

• Sue, our director, who served so faithfully throughout the night, running the drinks station and helping pack away with such care

• Tom, our treasurer, for quietly overseeing the finances and budget for the event

• Samantha and Elissa for helping set up and organise the table displays and stations so beautifully

• Paul Denton for offering his services to cover security

• Annette (Netti) for capturing the evening so thoughtfully through photos

• Eve for being on site as our first aider

• Amanda for the lovely keyring gifts for our team

• Everyone who helped with set-up, packing away, and all the practical jobs that made the evening run smoothly
• Our team members’ family and friends who came along to support — thank you for standing with us

• And every Archway team member who welcomed people with warmth, compassion, and service throughout the night

We also want to acknowledge the teamwork and commitment it took to bring this evening together — from Archway’s co-founders Natalie and Conor, alongside the wider team — all with one heart and one purpose: to create a safe space for people in recovery.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along. Your presence showed that recovery is possible, and that sober social spaces truly matter.

This was the first of many. Archway Recovery will be planning more sober Brothers & Sisters events next year — creating safe, non-judgemental spaces where people in recovery, those still struggling, and family and friends can come together without drugs, alcohol, or gambling.

We know social situations can feel uncomfortable in recovery. Our heart is to create something different — a place where people feel safe, seen, heard, and understood, and can enjoy connection, music, and community together.

“Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14🙏

Thank you for being part of something new in the heart of Rhyl 🤍

🎄 7 Days of Christmas — Day 7 🎄
Archway Recovery 🤍

Day 7 is an invitation to rest …especially for those who have never known what rest truly feels like.

Not quitting.
Not switching off.
But releasing the weight of having to carry everything alone.

In recovery, many of us discover that lasting change doesn’t come from striving harder or fixing ourselves.
It comes when we allow space — and faith, gently — to do the deeper work beneath the surface.

From the very beginning, Scripture reminds us that rest matters.
Not as escape, but as completion.
Not as weakness, but as trust.

✨ “On the seventh day, God rested.” (Genesis 2:2) ✨

If Christmas is approaching and you feel anxious, fearful, lost, broken, or without hope
please know you are not alone.❤️

At Archway Recovery, every member of our team has lived experience.
We are recovered addicts, alcoholics, and gamblers.
We understand the fear, the shame, and the exhaustion ..because we have been there too.

If you need someone to talk to, we are here.
You can email us at Archway.Recovery.Rhyl@gmail.com,
message our page,
or we can gently talk over WhatsApp or arrange a phone call — whatever feels safest for you.

From all of us at Archway Recovery 💜
we don’t have all the answers, but we do have compassion, time, and understanding.

If you’re tired of fighting and don’t know what to believe anymore, please know this 🙏
rest is possible here, hope can return, and real change often begins when we stop striving and allow ourselves to be gently helped. 🤍

🎄 Nine Days of Christmas — Day 9 🎄

Archway Recovery 💜

Transformation🫶

Transformation means a deep, lasting change
not just on the outside,
but within the heart and the mind.❤️

Recovery is not just about changing behaviour
it’s about a changed heart and a renewed mind.

At Christmas, we see how God brings change
not by force,
but by entering our lives with grace.

✨ “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12:2🙏

Quietly. Gently. With hope.

🎄 10 Days of Christmas — Day 10 🎄
Archway Recovery 🤍

Day 10 is about a promise worth holding onto ✨

Not a promise that everything will suddenly make sense —
but a promise that you don’t have to face life alone 🤝

Recovery teaches us this slowly.
Strength doesn’t come from having all the answers.
It comes from learning to keep going — even when the road feels uncertain 🌱

Christmas carries this promise at its heart —
that God is not distant from our struggles,
but present with us in the middle of them 💫

✨ “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20) ✨

If today feels heavy, remember this 🕊️
You are not forgotten.
You are not walking this alone.
And what you are doing still matters 💜

💜 There is a promise.
🧡 There is hope.
💜 Recovery is possible.
