Have you ever wondered what Crystal singing bowls are made up of?

They are contemporary sound-healing instruments made from 99.9997 per cent quartz (the remaining 0.0003 per cent is mainly water and naturally occurring trace minerals).

A practitioner plays a crystal bowl by running a suede or rubber-covered wand around the rim to create the sound.

Supporting Wellbeing Through Yoga and Therapeutic Sound

We all seek balance - in ourselves, our time, our lives. Let us help you find yours. At Balance Sound Therapy and Yoga, we use traditional hatha yoga and therapeutic sound to provide a space for you to maintain or regain your balance. To find a sense of wellbeing, of stability, of peace in what can be a hurly-burly, hectic world.

We offer regular hatha yoga classes and courses in and around the beautiful market town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Mike is a qualified yoga teacher in hatha yoga, accredited to Yoga Alliance International through the 200 hours yoga teacher training course with Spirit of Yoga, Spain, run by head of YAI Spain Maggie Levien. Diane also qualified as a yoga teacher from Spirit of Yoga and in addition is qualified to deliver yoga therapy on a one-to-one or small group basis.

Mike has completed an eleven month training programme for a Professional Diploma in Group Sound Relaxation Therapy with the British Academy of Sound Therapy, one of the leading international providers of sound therapy training. He is presently offering a number of soundbath and gongbath sessions in North Yorkshire.
