You could save a life!

If you want to be really confidant we can help!

If you witness a cardiac arrest, it is important to call 999 and start CPR straight away.

Perform CPR by placing your hands on the centre of the person’s chest and interlocking your fingers.

Use your body weight to push down 5 to 6cm on their chest.

Repeat this at a rate of 2 per second until the person regains consciousness or an ambulance arrives.

Following on from our post yesterday about our Mental Health courses, here’s some information on our Level 1 course.

Only 4 hours it will give you a good introduction into what first aid for mental health is.

We can offer this training course onsite for up to 16 people at your venue.

If we get enough interest we will run a public course in the new year.

Mental Health First Aiders are as important as physical First Aiders in the work place.
Maybe you have asked why are they important and what do they do?

They are people who we train to identify, understand and help someone experiencing a mental health issue.

Through our certified courses you can learn skills to approach and support someone non-judgementally, respond in a crisis and guide them to professional help.

The role focuses on early intervention, reducing stigma and supporting positive mental wellbeing.

These courses can be offered onsite and we can train up to 16 employees on the same day, at a date and time that suits you.

Did you know we currently have 23 life-saving defibrillator sites across the Heart of Richmond (North Yorkshire)?

These defibs are there for our community 24/7, ready to be used in an emergency, but they need your help to stay rescue ready. ❤️

Right now, we need to raise £500 (incl. VAT) to buy 6 new sets of defibrillator pads, the consumables that have a limited shelf life. Without replacement pads, these units can’t be used effectively when they’re needed most.

Why this matters:

Pads are single-use or expiry-based, so we must replace them regularly.

A defibrillator that is not “rescue ready” defeats its purpose; maintaining them ensures our community remains safer.

Every donation helps keep these 23 life-saving devices active, not just for now, but for the long-term.
