💥 HEAT or ICE — Which actually helps you heal? 💥
Most people grab ice without thinking, but your body deserves smarter care. Here’s what really works 👇

🧊 ICE (first 24–48 hrs)
* Best for fresh injuries, swelling, redness or throbbing pain.
* Helps calm inflammation and reduce discomfort in the acute stage.
* Apply 10–15 minutes with a towel barrier — never directly on skin.
* Stop once swelling and heat settle down.
* You may choose to skip ice altogether if it is more tight, stiff and not inflamed

🔥 HEAT (after 48 hrs onwards)
* Best for stiffness, tight muscles, or chronic joint aches.
* Improves blood flow, eases tension and speeds recovery.
* Great before stretching, exercise, or first thing in the morning.
* Avoid if the area is very inflamed, infected, swollen, or hot to touch.

💡 Quick rule:
Ice helps in the early flare-up.
Heat helps long-term recovery, tension and stiffness.
Your body heals better when it’s warm, moving, and supported.

⚠️ Important:
If you have reduced sensation, nerve damage, poor circulation, diabetic neuropathy or rheumatoid issues, avoid using heat or ice without guidance.
If symptoms worsen or don’t improve, contact your GP or physiotherapist.
