At Verity Counselling I aim to build a trusting and mutually respectful relationship in a safe and confidential space. We often develop wounds from relationships but we can also heal within a relationship. In our sessions I would wish you to feel supported, fully accepted and understood. As a Gestalt therapist I believe that distressing thoughts and feelings from past or current traumas are held within our body and can sometimes lead to negative effects on our health. With this in mind raising awareness and experiencing these feelings in a therapeutic setting can work towards healing and letting go. Working gently and intuitively with each individual is an important part of the process.
