Hi everyone
I have been burying my head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich...
Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to take any walks going forward for the next - not sure how long.
As some of you know, I’ve had problems with my hip for a while now and I was hoping it would sort itself out over the Christmas break but unfortunately it has just got worse to the point where I often struggle to walk.
I am having treatment but don’t know how long it will take to get back to normal.
Although I have to walk as part of my physio I was advised yesterday that it will probably not be a quick fix.
As such I feel it would be irresponsible of me to lead walks where I might need to be rescued myself or make my hip worse!
This has been a really tough decision especially as I had plans to extend the number and length of walks, but I suppose I have to accept that this is how it is for the moment - and watch out for plan B!
I’ll be in touch as and when I have more info.
In the meantime keep walking!
