My name is Lauri Wood, Owner and Aesthetics Practitioner at Enhance Aesthetics By Lauri. I have been practicing aesthetics for over 4 years and previous to this I have worked in dentistry for over 15 years. During lockdown in 2020 I built a clinic at my home address to enable my clients to have ultimate privacy during their treatments, after all who you tell about your treatment is your business. There is parking available, so you can avoid searching for a space in a busy town centre and also reduce the amount of people you may bump into on leaving the clinic. I have been working in healthcare for over 15 years and therefore you can expect outstanding cleanliness and cross infection control procedures. I am on a medical register with the GDC and therefore I keep up to date with current guidance, training and regulations. All of your personal data is stored securely and client confidentiality will always be maintained. Photographs are compulsory before any cosmetic procedure for insurance purposes, these images will be kept for 7 years as per current regulations. No images will be uploaded to social media or online without your permission. I provide high quality aesthetic treatments specialising in natural looking aesthetics. I am passionate about skincare and treatments that can boost your own collagen and elastin promoting healthy skin. Consultations are free of charge and you are under no obligation to book in for treatment after your consultation should you not wish to proceed.

At Lauri Wood Aesthetics & Dentistry, we are committed to providing each patient with the highest standard of care. To protect appointment availability for all patients, we kindly ask that you review our cancellation policy below.

Appointment Changes & Cancellations
• We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a £40 cancellation fee.

No-Show Policy
• Patients who do not attend their appointment without prior notice will be charged a £40 no-show fee.
• Repeated no-shows may result in limited booking privileges or the requirement for prepayment for future appointments.

Late Arrivals
• If you arrive more than 10–15 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your appointment.
• If the appointment cannot be completed due to late arrival, the £40 cancellation fee may apply.

I would like to thank the majority of my clients who turn up to their appointments on time. I understand that emergencies happen and plans change but please let me know as soon as you can.

Anyone following my journey will know why this man deserves the appreciation in this post…

Just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for everything you’ve done for me during this prep. Stepping in halfway through was no easy task, but you picked me up from a really difficult spot—mentally, emotionally, and physically—and guided me forward with patience, understanding, and a steady hand.

What meant the most was how you always put my well-being first, even above the stage. In a sport where it’s easy to feel like just another physique, you constantly reminded me that I mattered as a person before anything else. Your ability to instinctively know when I needed direction, when I needed space, and when I simply needed support made a huge impact.

Your belief in me—especially when I struggled to believe in myself—helped carry me through one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. Your knowledge, empathy, and leadership not only kept me on track but helped me rediscover my confidence and strength.

Thank you for being more than just a coach. I’m truly grateful to have had you in my corner.

In Just 2 Days… I Step on That Stage Again.

Seven months of relentless hard work.
Seven months of sacrifice, discipline, and unwavering dedication.
No shortcuts. No easy routes. Just pure grit.

I’ve given up my favourite foods, missed out on moments with family and friends—all while still being a:

💍 Wife
🤝 Friend
🏢 Business Owner
🩺 Clinician

This. Has. Been. HARD.
There have been more lows than highs. Hurdles that seemed too high, days I wanted to quit, and moments where it felt like the finish line was too far away.
But here I am—I MADE IT.
And anyone who knows me knows: I never choose the easy path.

In 2 days, I walk onto that stage.

Yes, I’ll be presenting myself to a panel of judges…
But there’s only one audience that truly matters to me: MY CHILDREN.

They are my reason. My strength. My rock.

Through the tears, frustration, and exhaustion… they’ve seen it all. And they’ve stood by me, lifted me, and reminded me who I am.

So this time—it’s for YOU.
To show you that when life gets tough, when you feel like giving up…

YOU. DO. NOT. GIVE. UP.

I’m proud of this journey. But more than that, I’m proud to show my children what perseverance really looks like.

Reflecting on Last Weekend’s Competition

It’s taken me some time to process everything. Things didn’t go as planned — I didn’t show up as my best, and stepping off stage, I felt disappointed. After all the hard work, it was tough to accept.

The days after were emotional. I smiled when people said I did great, but inside I felt deflated. Now, I’ve come out the other side stronger. I’ve accepted that it’s okay to feel it all — that doesn’t make me weak, it makes me human.

This experience gave me clarity. I now know what I need to do to show up as MY best. And through it all, I’ve been surrounded by the most amazing support — family, friends, colleagues, clients… thank you 💛

I’m truly blessed:
✨ To have my health and the ability to compete
✨ To be supported by a beautiful family
✨ To have friends who always show up
✨ To share the stage with inspiring women

The biggest win? Showing my children that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

Now it’s time to reset and refocus for the next show — with fine-tuning the plan, I’m coming back stronger.

As I lie here in bed…

The night before the day ahead.
Smelling like the biscuit I’ve been deprived of for the last 6 months. 😂

I’m taking a moment to really take it all in.
The dedication.
The commitment.
The grind.
The tears.
The wins.
The falls.
The rises.
It’s been a rollercoaster ride — and then some.

But through it all, I’ve learned so much about myself.

I’ve learned that you can inspire others to dare to dream.
If I can do this… you can do anything. 💥

I’ve learned that hard times will come — but they will pass. And the good times, they follow. 🌤️

Most of all, I’ve learned how incredibly blessed I am to have the team I do.
My family.
My friends.
My clients who’ve become friends.
My colleagues.
Even strangers who’ve sent kind words and encouragement along the way.
And the professionals who helped me through the gritty moments — thank you. 🙏🏼

I am a GDC registered Dental Therapist and have expert knowledge of the anatomy of the face and neck. I have been practicing facial aesthetics since 2017 and continue to update my knowledge and skills regularly.

I also work along side Nurse Prescriber, Ellen Schuker (Ellie). Ellie has over 30 years Nursing experience and over 10 years in Facial Aesthetics. Ellie offers consultations for prescription only treatments.
