Hannah came to me because she had the task of dropping weight for her last fight. She needed to get to 74kg but was sitting just under 80kg. In just 6 weeks she’s smashed the task and is now sitting just under 73kg 😮💨
I’ve known Hannah for a while now - being apart of the same boxing club, and has been amazing to be apart of her journey thus far. It was one of her biggest challenges on Saturday night and she absolutely smashed it.
Like any fat loss phase creating that deficit was key. But the challenge this time around was ensuring food was high enough to sustain the amount of training she does. As a fighter the last thing I wanted was to make her sluggish and drained, so she couldn’t push her boundaries during camp.
Even though she clearly lost some unnecessary body fat, we also dropped her body weight through manipulating her carbohydrate intake on fight week for the weigh in.
Hannah’s aim is to now be fighting below the 70kg mark, so she fights in a lower weight category - and with how well she’s done I can’t see it being a problem. Amazing stuff mate. Onto the next 🫡
