This afternoon some of our residents took a trip to Wetherspoons for lunch, lots of chatter, laughter and of course a cheeky half! A perfect Friday afternoon.

This week our residents made some beautiful poppy garlands, we spent Remembrance Day afternoon reading some poems and listening to some war time music.

This afternoon we had the Global Amphibian Workshop come to Long Meadow, our residents got to learn all about different frogs around the world and saw some real life Amphibians. Some residents were even brave enough to hold a Salamander!

This afternoon our fantastic residents got creative and created some beautiful fireworks and bonfires using paint, sequins and lots of glitter! 🎆🎇🔥

This afternoon our talented residents have been carving some pumpkins! These will look fab as centre pieces for our Halloween tea party tomorrow!

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff, friends and family that gave their time and money to support this great cause.
Long Meadow would like to extend an additional gratitude to our new team members Katie and Janice for organising the event and making it a special afternoon for all involved.

This afternoon we had David with The Mobile Police Museum came to visit us, our residents really enjoyed learning about history of the police and trying some police hats! Even some of the staff got involved! Thank you David for a fantastic afternoon.

This afternoon our lovely residents painted some pumpkins! We used all different colour paints and glitter. Once these are dry they will be placed around our home to add to the autumn feel! 🍁🍂🎃

We had a fantastic afternoon yesterday for our Wear It Pink afternoon tea! Our talented chef made some beautiful pink cup cakes and some delicious rascals.

Even our wonderful staff got involved and had some fab pink tshirts!

A big thank you to everyone that joined us and who has donated. We managed to raise over £300 for Breast Cancer 🎉🎀

One day to go! Tomorrow we are having our Wear It Pink for breast cancer day!

Theres still plenty of time to donate if you haven’t already, we have hit our target and beyond! Why stop there though when we can raise as much as we can for such a wonderful cause!

And don’t forget we are having a coffee and cake afternoon, starting from 2pm. All are welcome to join us here at Long Meadow and we would love to see you!

This morning we ventured to Birchfield Farm to pick some pumpkins to decorate and put up around the home, finished off our outing with a lovely cup of tea and a beautiful view!
