As well as irrigation we also offer micro suction as an ear wax removal method. This involves a small suction device which removes the wax from your ears safely and effectively. This method is especially recommended if you have ever had any previous issues such as a perforated eardrum. Speaking extra slowly can actually make language sound less natural and make lip-reading more difficult. Clear and natural speech, with no mumbling, is much easier but do allow for a few extra pauses for processing.

As summer is finally upon us with hot and humid days, it is important to remember to keep your hearing aids safe from heat, humidity, and water. These can damage the microphone, receiver, and circuit of the hearing aids and impact performance.
1. Protect hearing aids from water
2. Don’t store hearing aids in hot or humid environments
3. Use a drying kit/dehumidifier at night where necessary
4. Apply sunscreen before putting your hearing aids in
5. Monitor hearing aid performance
6. Clean hearing aids regularly
