****ADVANCE NOTICE****
We will be closed next Tuesday the 3rd February from 1pm this is a lancashire wide shut down and is for essential staff training. There will be urgent cover provided through calling 111 and staff will still be onsite.

We have received notice that during February through to June there will be a national shortage of co-codamol 30/500. During this time we are being encouraged to minimise prescriptions and swap people to alternatives. We apologise in advance for any anxiety this causes people but we will do our best to provide medication for everyone who needs it. You may want to take the opportunity to come and discuss your pain management needs with our pharmacist, if you do simply ring the surgery and ask to book for a medication review

Unfortunately there is an issue with the NHS network service locally. This means we can access neither phones or Patches today. Our reception desks are still open. Please bear with us while the problem is dealt with. We hope to be back up and running later today. If you urgently need help please come into reception, if your query is less urgent please try and ring or use Patches later today. Several local surgeries have been affected.

We will not be offering any extra medication for the Christmas period so please order in time to collect from your pharmacy. If you become ill at any of the times we are closed please call 111.

Patient Notice
We are seeing an increasing number of patients missing their appointments at the practice. Whilst we understand that there can be many reasons for this we are keen to reduce this number to allow as many appointments as possible to be available. In September 232 were missed and in October this rose to 268.
Please can we ask that patients make a careful note of their appointment time and place and arrive in good time to be seen.
If you have put a PATCHES request on for an appointment then please ensure your phone is handy and that you check regularly for messages on SMS and email as we often send appointments out this way. We will try to give as much notice of the appointment as possible.
If you cannot attend or no longer need the appointment then please contact the surgery in good time. Where possible we will try and rearrange for you.
Whilst we understand the frustrations around getting convenient appointments we are trying to ensure everyone who needs to be seen is seen and missed appointment reduction is part of this.

ADVANCE NOTICE
We will be closed from 1pm on Thursday afternoon the 13th November for our monthly protected learning time. This is lancashire wide and allows essential staff training. We will be open as usual from 8am to 1pm on that day and then urgent problems can be dealt with by 111 after that time

We will be closed from 1pm today for the monthly Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board protected learning time. Cover will be provided by 111 and GP appointments available if needed. If your problem is not urgent please contact us on Wednesday but urgent problems please call 111. Our phonelines will not be manned and PATCHES will be closed for online requests. We apologise for any inconvenience but this is vital training and practice development time.
