See below.... A course on signing....we've had of talk about signing at groups over the last few weeks.

Join GRH Training on their FREE virtual Parent and Child Signing course! Designed to help you in supporting your baby/child’s speech, language, and communication development. By teaching the skills and building your confidence to use key signs at home.

Don't worry if little ones are asleep at this time, these courses are about showing the adults the signs (kids will learn the signs from you as you use them)

How is your feeding journey going? Whether you’re still learning the ropes or you’re a pro, you’re welcome at the group.

Does your baby click when they feed or constantly come on and off? Do you worry about not having enough milk or whether you should be using a ni**le shield. Do you have any pain whilst feeding? Are you concerned about introducing solids or going back to work whilst still breastfeeding? Has your baby just got teeth and you’re wondering how to deal with it? Urgent reminder 🚨

Today, BBC Morning Live featured a segment about private scan clinics.

After interviewing 2 mums with negative experiences of private scan clinics, the presenter said pregnant women could check their baby’s heartbeat themselves with a stethoscope for reassurance. This advice is not only wrong, but dangerous because you could be falsely reassured.

No home scanning device, doppler or app can tell you if your baby is well. While it may sound tempting, it's not a safe way to listen to your baby’s heartbeat or check they're okay. This can only be done by a midwife or health professional.

Unless you're professionally trained, it's easy to confuse what you're hearing or seeing and be falsely reassured.

If you're worried about reduction in baby's movements, or have any other concerns, contact your maternity unit immediately.

East Hastings Family Hub - Available weekdays, from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

St Leonards Family Hub - Available Fridays, from 9:15 A.M. to 2:45 P.M.

We support you in YOUR feeding journey no matter what that looks like. We want the best for you and your baby. We will be there for you every step of the way.

And if groups aren't your thing, so many have said over the years we've run this group, that groups aren't their thing but this one is! We will introduce you to others with babies of a similar age, as well as those with older ones so that you can get a sneak preview of what might be to come for you and your little one!

🎄 Ready for Christmas? Don't worry we aren't either!

🥛 Have you thought about feeding over Christmas? Will there be a change to your routine or are you having a quiet one? What can you do to ease things?
