It’s not just a headache, it’s a menstrual migraine.

For millions of women, hormonal changes can trigger migraines that are more intense, longer-lasting, and harder to treat. These menstrual migraines often strike just before or during a period when the drop in oestrogen can set off debilitating pain, fatigue, and brain fog.

Despite their impact, there are still no approved treatments designed specifically for short-term prevention of menstrual migraines. That’s why research in this area is so important.

As a Principal Investigator, you’ll provide clinical oversight and leadership across trials, ensuring studies meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient care. You’ll also collaborate closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to excellence and innovation in research.

What we’re looking for:
- GMC-registered physician with licence to practise in the UK
- MRCP(UK) and at least 5 years’ clinical experience (2+ in the NHS)
- Strong communicator and proactive leader with a passion for advancing medicine
- GCP-trained and experienced in clinical research (PI/Sub-I experience desirable)

Connecting with the Community at Cheadle Masjid

On Friday, the 27th June, the Panthera team had the pleasure of visiting the community at Cheadle Masjid.

We were grateful for the opportunity to speak with so many members of our local community, many from groups historically underrepresented in clinical research. The level of interest, curiosity, and engagement around what we do highlights the importance of getting out amongst the public to discuss the importance of clinical research.

Making clinical research more accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the real world is a paramount driver at Panthera. Social events like this are an important part of engaging the community and creating better opportunities for public health.

Thank you to Cheadle Masjid for the warm welcome. We look forward to continuing the conversation and hopefully welcoming some of you onto a future trial.

Panthera Celebrates 5 Years in Rochdale!

On Thursday, June 26th, we hosted a memorable evening in Rochdale to mark the 5th anniversary of Panthera’s presence in the region. It was an incredible event attended by The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Janet Emsley, as well as our valued local partners, practices, and community members.

We were especially honoured to hear from two of our Panthera Patient Volunteers, who shared their personal experiences of participating in recent clinical trials and the positive impact it has had on their lives. Their stories highlighted the value and importance of clinical trial participation, and how our Rochdale team has been integral to their journey.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this celebration a success. Here's to many more years ahead of 'Shaping a Healthier Future'!
