I always explain to my clients that Reiki isn’t a one-off “fix”, it’s a journey. A gentle, ongoing practice of making space for yourself and allowing your nervous system to shift out of constant doing and into rest and healing.
That said, when someone has been living in a prolonged sympathetic state, constantly stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, just surviving, sometimes even one Reiki treatment can feel profound. It can be like something heavy has been lifted. A softening. A reminder of how it feels when your body and mind are allowed to feel safe again.
That shift doesn’t always mean everything is permanently “fixed”, but it can offer a powerful glimpse of what’s possible. It shows the body that there is another state available, the parasympathetic, rest-and-digest state, where healing, clarity and balance can begin.
With regular treatments, alongside practices like sound baths, meditation or conscious breathing, the body starts to learn this state. It begins to access it more easily, not just in sessions, but in everyday life. And that’s where lasting change happens, deep, embodied change that’s felt right at the core.
This review is a beautiful reminder that even one session can help someone feel lighter, more hopeful, and less alone in what they’re carrying. And from there, the journey continues 🌿
