Food - probably the most difficult thing to master!
We are all different - we all have varying levels of daily activity, some of us have physical jobs, others more sedentary. Some of use naturally metabolise food faster. We all have different needs and goals - it's not 1 size fits all βΊοΈ
With so much information out there, telling you what to eat, what time to eat it, how much to eat .. it's all a bit overwhelming!! π₯΅
If there are a few things I can offer as a nutrition advice, it's the following:
- stay hydrated! You're not drinking as much water as you think you are π§
- consume adequate protein, this supports recovery and repair, and it helps keep you fuller for longerπ
- Vegetables - get all kinds of variety into your diet π₯¦ it doesn't just have to be green! π½
- you don't need a naughty snack as a reward. I'm guilty of this too! Don't use food as a reward, food is for fuel and survival. Enjoy a treat, but don't use it as a reward. Enjoy it as part of balanced food intake.
- you don't need to do anything fancy like a Matcha shake (what the hell even is that π€£), eat variety, and keep processed food to a minimum!
Don't feel alone - you got this ππͺπ
** below is = Minced chicken with red kidney beans, tomatoes, microwave rice, I had some liquidised spinach from the kids pasta sauce so I threw that in. Seasoning and chopped cucumber for garnish, alongside half a tortilla wrap which I popped in the oven to crisp up ππ Nom!!
