Week Station Topics Covered
1 Station 1: Communication Skills Consent, explaining diagnoses, DNACPR, capacity, patient-centered communication
2 Station 2: Examination & Reasoning (CVS & Neuro) Systematic exams, real-case reasoning, differential diagnosis, focused management
3 Station 3: Communication & Ethics Safeguarding, complaints, dealing with anger, ethical reasoning, professionalism
4 Station 4: Examination & Reasoning (Resp & Abdomen) OSCE-style exams, interpreting signs, investigations, concise handover
5 Station 5: Integrated Clinical Encounter (ICE) Prioritising problems, time management, combining findings into plans, communication with team
All lectures are live and interactive — no recordings provided to encourage attendance and participation
Face-to-Face Weekend (2 Days – Sat & Sun)
Designed to simulate PACES stations in small groups with real or simulated patients.
Day 1 – Practical Masterclass:
Rotating stations (CVS, Neuro, Resp, Abdomen)
Timed exams with peer observation
Registrar coaching at each station
Structured domain-based feedback
Day 2 – Full Mock PACES:
5-station mock circuit
Role-played communication & ICE cases
Timing, marking, and feedback
Final group debrief and strategy advice
