Congratulations to Luca and family who graduated from the LOClite today! 😀😀😀🌿🌿🏆🏆🏆🎉🎉
Luca was 9.4 months old when he started and wore the helmet for 7 months. Despite starting at older than the ideal age (3.5 to 7 months is best), he had a fantastic result, going from severe plagiocephaly (15mm) to normal (4mm). He had a gorgeous painted design of jungle leaves too.

This little lady has completed the head reshaping in just 2.6 months. She started young at 3.8 months and went from 96% cranial index (severe brachycephaly) to a normal 89%. Her plagiocephaly went from 16mm severe to normal 0mm! She has been a little star throughout. She will need to continue to wear the helmet at sleeptimes because her fontanelle (soft spot) is still open and she still sleeps on her back, so I get the pleasure of seeing her every few weeks to make sure it is still fitting OK. Well done Ella and mummy! (The red marks are lipstick on her head by the way when I adjusted the helmet). Love the "Fixing my melon" !

Who says helmets don't work?!! Well done to Luca and family who completed the LOClite helmet journey today! He started helmet treatment at 5.2 months old and wore it full time for just under 5 months. The before and after scans superimposed clearly show how the head growth is channelled to correct the plagiocephaly (20mm asymmetry to 0mm) and to lengthen the head front to back and prevent width growth. (If there had been no helmet, the growth would have been all around and not directed.) 👨‍🎓👨‍🎓👨‍🎓😄😄😄

Last day tomorrow at the 4 day ISPO International Society of Prosthetics & Orthotics congress in Stockholm, Sweden. It has been fantastic to listen to presentations by some truly inspirational people, get up to date on latest technologies and new products that may be able to help my patients, meet old and new colleagues and enjoy Swedish hospitality. Thankyou ISPO for organising such a great event!
