New Meditation on My YouTube Channel

Many of us were taught, often without realising it, to put everyone else first.

To keep the peace.
To avoid disappointing people.
To make sure everyone around us is happy.

But over time this can lead us to forget something very important — our own needs matter too.

In this gentle guided meditation I explore how we can begin releasing the pattern of people pleasing and reconnect with our own inner truth.

It’s called “Feeling Safe to be Seen.”

Many of us carry a quiet fear of being judged, misunderstood, or not fully accepted. Over time this can make us hide parts of ourselves or hold back from expressing who we really are.

This gentle guided meditation is designed to help the nervous system soften and to reconnect with the feeling that it is safe to be yourself.

This morning the podcast I recorded with Jeans Bothy went live.

We spoke about my life with M.E., the turning points along the way, and how I eventually found Reiki and the work I now do.

The videos and treatments people see now are only part of the story — the journey that led me here is really the reason I care so deeply about helping others feel calmer, safer and more like themselves again.

I’m really grateful to Jean's Bothy, Helensburgh for creating such a supportive community space around mental health and wellbeing and for giving me the opportunity to share my experience.

Tonight’s YouTube video is now live — Quiet Confidence.

This one is for anyone who looks calm on the outside… but inside second-guesses themselves, overthinks what they said, or wonders if they are “too much” or “not enough”.

Quiet confidence isn’t loud.
It isn’t forcing positivity.
It’s the gentle inner knowing:

I don’t need to prove myself to be allowed to exist.

It’s exhausting.

People often think emotional strength means not feeling.

But that’s not what overwhelm actually is.

Overwhelm happens when the nervous system doesn’t feel safe enough to process what we feel… so it either floods us or shuts us down.

Tonight’s video is designed to gently speak to the subconscious and teach the body something different — that emotions can move through you without taking you over.
